Si pueden buscar otro lugar no lo duden, yo me dejé llevar por los reviews y eran de managers anteriores, a los voluntarios actuales los ven como empleados y les recuerdan cada tanto las pérdidas monetarias que representa su cama, el trato hacia los voluntarios no es adecuado ni amigable al punto que he visto personas llorar por el trato de la manager. Intenté hablarlo pero lo tomaron a la defensiva y Tuve que dejar el hostal debido a la incomodidad y me pedían pagar mi estadía por no mostrar esfuerzo según ellos. Aparte de esto el equipo de voluntarios fue lo mejor y hice muchas amistades.

The hostel is a cosy, well organised and clean hostel. The owners and management provide a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for the team. High standards are expected in the daily tasks but staff are not put under undue pressure, the atmosphere is supportive. There is plenty of fun in store for everyone involved. There is always lots going on and a huge variety of guests from different countries and backgrounds. I felt that I was in a safe, sensible and secure environment and thoroughly enjoyed my time working in the hostel and experiencing life in Oxford. Brilliant!

This experience in the hostel has been amazing! As a first volunteer and solo travel is a perfect opportunity. Everyone is so welcoming and I had felt at home since the first moment. Romane is so good at what she does and she is always creating a good environment for all the team. The tasks are easy to do and you will receive support from all your team. I couldn't recommend more this experience. These past months living there and meeting amazing people from all around the world just changed my view in every aspect. It is difficult to describe how wonderful this experience was. It literally felt like the hostel Back packers Oxford was my home for the last few months and I met friends that are going to be in my heart forever. The management couldn't be any better, everything that was said before arriving was true or better. It is a very cosy environment if your are willing to share your days with people all the time. I'm delighted that I chose this place. I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially for a first experience. Love, Brenda

It is beyond words how wonderful my stay was at the hostel. These past four months were filled with a lot of laughs, amazing friends and priceless memories. The experience changed me in a beautiful way as I learned so much humanely and professionally there. Working in the hostel was interesting and not too difficult to adapt to as it is alongside a welcoming and caring team. CB and Oxford is a nice and comfortable place to live in and will become like a second home for you. Without a doubt I recommend this experience as I am sure the future volunteers will have the best time there. :)

A fascinating and unforgettable experience! The CBO exceeded my expectations! The hostel is lovely. It is near to all surrounding Oxfords tourism sites! But the best part is the charming staff and wonderful people from all around the world I met. The managers and owners are extremely supportive with handy duties.

My first Worldpackers and working in a hostel experience. It was a great experience, I learnt to become more outgoing as I meet many guests around the hostel. Tasks are manageable and working days are very flexible. Romane is a good manager and I'm grateful for her help and care throughout my stay here.

For me the hostel changed the way I perceived the world. From the beginning Greg and Kerryne were super welcoming as well as Nate and Mark. As for Romane, the manager, I would love to thank her to believe in me, for teaching me the importance of responsibility and to be a friend outside of office hours. This experience stays in my heart as the best volunteering that I have ever had in my life. Thank you for taking care of me, of my well-being and for helping me grow as a professional and as a personal being. I will always keep you in my heart ❤️

The hostel is a lovely place. You will meet a lot of nice people and feel very welcomed. I liked staying there a lot and I learned a bunch of things. I found many friends that I will keep for life. The work was also okay and usually not overwhelming although I only worked there during Corona in a time with less occupancy. I really liked the manager as well. ;)

Volunteering at the hostel was a wonderful experience. It was my first time I traveled solo and I am glad I chose this place . The beautiful and cozy city combined with the warm and friendly hostel makes it an experience to never forget. I wanted to stay 1 months but ended up staying 6 months. I think that says it all :). Also don't worry about working more then the agreed hours. The manager always makes schedules that are fair for everyone, I never had to work more then the agreed hours on World-packers. I would definitely recommend this hostel.
