I had a very good time at the Monks the hostel!! All the workers are very nice, especially Richard and Baran! Every evening was fun, they have different events every day! Over all it's a perfect place to stay to see the baltics. Also the new manager Jordy was really nice to me!

We stayed a month and our time in the munk's the hostel was amazing. It was our first experience as volunteer and we LOVED IT! The staff was really nice and made us feel at home. The workload was totally fine and not time consuming at all. Furniture was really nice, we slept very good 😃 We met so many people from everywhere it was a life changing experience. Tallinn is a beautiful and small city and you feel very safe. We would recommend this experience to everyone.

I stayed in the monks the hostel for one month, and it was one of the most exiting times of my life. The people who work there, the volunteers and Dariana are the sweetest people and they really made me feel so welcome there. The working hours are absolutely fair and organizing the events doesn't really feel like work at all! The atmosphere in the hostel is incomparable to anything i've ever experienced. I made such strong connections and built friendships that will last forever. I'm so thankful for the time and would 100% recommend volunteering there!

The experience was incredible! They give us a lot of food. The internet is great. The work is peaceful. The guests, staff and volunteers are very kind. And those responsible are very attentive. Perfect volunteering! I didn't want it to end! Thousand stars!

It has been a wonderful experience in which we have been able to learn a lot about how a hostel works, we have been able to improve our English considerably due to all the people of different nationalities with whom we have had the pleasure to talk. the hostel is a wonderful place to embark on such an experience, the staff and volunteers are wonderful and you have the opportunity to carry out various tasks that will help you accomplish whatever goal you have decided to go for. It has been a wonderful adventure and I am grateful for the opportunity to have enjoyed it

I came here with a friend for two months and I can say that it has been one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life. We were mainly in charge of theme nights and pubcrawls and it didn't feel like we were working; every day was so much fun. I have met so many wonderful people, the hostel was very welcoming and the staff couldn't be better. I will miss everything and would recommend it to everyone!!!!. I look forward to coming back :)) <33

The vibe in this hostel is unique! The staff, the accommodation and everything they offer is fantastic. I am so grateful to have come here to experienced this hostel and meet amazing people from all over the world! Highly recommended working here.

I spent 1 and a half month in tallinn Lai 22. From my first day i felt like home. The people that work there, the volunteers and also Dariana are the most amazing human beings. The hours are super good and well respected and actually you dont feel like working because you have so much fun. I will truly remember my time there forever. Thank you for this unique experience I will cherish it with all my heart! It was a pleasure !

Overall was a nice experience & met some great people who stayed as guest. Definitely a good way to meet new people even if you are on the quieter side like me :)). Make sure you get everyone you're staying with to always lock the room door (as annoying as it is) and always keep your stuff secure, as the doors do not lock automatically

Overall, I've had a pretty good experience at the hostel. The city is amazing, I loved the schedule flexibility, and the team was great. The only problem was that while I was staying there, they changed the manager, and when myself and other girls had an issue (regarding a harassment situation), he managed the situation poorly, minimizing the whole thing. The food was never sufficient, and most of the volunteers opted for takeout. My working hours were great, but that wasn't the case for some other volunteers. However, the people who worked there were great; they made me feel at home.

We are sadden that you had some unpleasant experiences while with us. We take any claim of harassment, abuse, violence, or discrimination with the upmost care and will look into any matters brought up. The current manger at the time reviewed the situation speaking to all parties and found the best solution. The volunteer hours have been a positive experience as it give them time to relax and enjoy other aspect of working within the hostel (and just not cleaning)and some time even working less than what is asked of them.
