During our work-exchange at the hostel, we were disappointed by unfair treatment. We were assigned the heaviest tasks while others relaxed. My friend was unfairly accused of not working despite being injured while working seriously. We were also separated to work at different times, unlike other couples, making us feel isolated and discriminated against as Asians. Such treatment is unacceptable. We hope the platform addresses these issues to ensure fairness for all volunteers.

Sorry to hear about your disappointment. The only tasks you got were cleaning the rooms and putting sheets on the beds. I dont understand how you can get hurt by doing that. The only time you moved plants outside you killed one fig and two rosemarys. Also i informed you that its not normal for your friend to not work for one week.
You stayed here for one month and you could not speak English enough to be in reception also could not do gardening because she was hurt.

Alban is very nice and welcoming. The hostel is beautiful, clean and very sunny, and it is located in a very good position. The daily tasks are easy, but sometimes you could be asked to perform more challenging tasks like deep cleaning of the toilets.

La realidad es que no pude hacer el voluntariado. Tuve problemas con mis papeles y me tuve que volver a Argentina. Pongo esa reseña para poder explicar que no pude asistir por ese problema. Espero que no me perjudique en el futuro para otros voluntariados. Le avise de la situación que estaba pasando a la persona responsable de hablar conmigo por este medio y no sé si pudo comprenderme. Pero no tenía otra opción que volverme a mi país.

I met so many wonderful people here and had an amazing time! I had a lot of free time to explore and the work was easy . I loved learning about the Albanian culture and language! This experience exceeded my expectations and I will miss you all very much!

The stay here was great, we made a great team with the other volunteers and the host was always available to help us while learning the assigned tasks. I definitely recommend this place to improve languages, connect with the local culture, meet people from all over, learn about hotel management and enjoy beaches and beautiful places. Thank you for everything here and we hope to return very soon

I loved volunteering at the hostel - met so many wonderful people and had a lot of free time to explore. The work was easy once you understand the system and get to know the hostel's facilities. This experience exceeded my expectations, and I'll miss everyone so much!

This was honestly the best first volunteering experience I could have ever hoped for. I left Albania gaining a second family! I learnt so much about the beautiful Albanian culture, music, dance and even learned a bit of Albanian too! Albano was so lovely and accomodate any activities or trips you wanted to do and was always one text away. The volunteers created the schedule together so was flexible and fair. The volunteers had our own space and privacy away from guests, where we had family dinners etc. HLV really feels like a second home, definitely will come back one day ❤️

Saranda it's a beautiful place. the hostel has a great structure and has potential to be one of the best spots to visit in the balcans. Albano it's a great person and will treat you lovely. During the low season you can enjoy the nature, during the high season you can enjoy parties and tourists. Now it's kinda hard to travel without feeling home 😅 hope to see you guys again and thanks for those great months together. Wish you all the best❤️
