Alban es una persona excepcional, con quien tuve la oportunidad de aprender mucho, especialmente sobre cultivos. Las principales actividades realizadas involucraron el cultivo y el mantenimiento del hostel. Aunque el trabajo en la plantación es físicamente exigente, también es muy gratificante. El ambiente del hostel es excelente, con varias opciones de ocio, como sala de cine, mesa de billar y tenis de mesa. En cuanto a la ciudad de Saranda, es simplemente impresionante. Para quienes la visiten, es imprescindible conocer Ksamil, que tiene algunas de las playas más hermosas que he visto.

Alban is an excellent host, helpful and fun. He enjoys teaching people about Albanian culture and the planting process. The tasks at the site are varied, from cleaning, painting, gardening, and, most interestingly, permaculture. 👨🏻‍🌾 The place is quite comfortable with plenty of space for entertaining. El voluntariado es sencillo, son tareas básicas de un hotel y las tareas de la zona verde o de cultivo no son tan complicadas, aprendes de permacultura y Albán el anfitrión es una persona amable, adicional Sarandë es un lugar muy hermoso para despejar la mente y disfrutar del sol y la tranquilidad de la playa.

My experience at the hostel was very different and wonderful, because it was in the low season we did activities related to planting fruits and roses. I met other volunteers and was able to practice Spanish. Alban is very helpful and flexible, one of the best hosts I have ever met, a great person, the location of the hostel is great and the city is beautiful, I highly recommend it and I will definitely be back.

这是我第一次打工换宿，却遭遇了让人心寒的经历。 那天我们的室友被海胆扎伤了脚，我的朋友忙着帮忙处理伤口，我主动替朋友顶班换床单。我的腰急性扭伤，我当时感觉我无法移动我的左脚，害怕和疼痛让我一直哭泣。 受伤后，朋友帮我补完了当天和次日的工时；第三天本就是休息日。到第四天该做园艺时，我实在弯不了腰，跟主家说明情况，他说园艺离不开腰部发力，会安排我下周补工时。 规定的工作时间里，我没有拒绝过任何工作安排。还主动询问过工作是否合格，他们从没说过有问题。可最后一天，主家突然指责我：“从没认真工作过，做的都不达标，还得让别人返工。唯一认真一次，还把自己弄伤了。” 这话太伤人了。我是第一次体验，很多事也许无法完美，但我一直按他们说的做。急性腰伤本需休养一两周，最后一周，没受伤的志愿者去了前台，我这个伤患反而被安排最繁重的清洁工作，每天用吸尘器、拖地板，衣服被汗水浸透。即便如此，我从没拒绝过任何安排。 酒店的长住客和同事都为我不平，他们天天看着我和朋友埋头工作。我跟主家说前一天硬撑了四小时，他却毫无关心，只说“大家都这么辛苦”，还说我不像志愿者，像个客人。 我想不通，是因为我们是亚洲人，还是英语不够好？当天我和朋友晚上9点下班后搬走。这太让人难过了，我们哭了很久。

After your back injury, it was clear you couldn’t continue working. We gave you time to recover and offered a reduced rate, which you declined. You asked to stay all summer because you really liked the place, but we had only agreed on one month and couldn’t extend.

Using terms as discrimination is just vindictive.

I shared private feedback on your last day to help you reflect. We hope this gave you a clearer idea of how volunteer exchanges work. Wishing you the best on your travels.

During our work-exchange at the hostel, we were disappointed by unfair treatment. We were assigned the heaviest tasks while others relaxed. My friend was unfairly accused of not working despite being injured while working seriously. We were also separated to work at different times, unlike other couples, making us feel isolated and discriminated against as Asians. Such treatment is unacceptable. We hope the platform addresses these issues to ensure fairness for all volunteers.

Sorry to hear about your disappointment. The only tasks you got were cleaning the rooms and putting sheets on the beds. I dont understand how you can get hurt by doing that. The only time you moved plants outside you killed one fig and two rosemarys. Also i informed you that its not normal for your friend to not work for one week.
You stayed here for one month and you could not speak English enough to be in reception also could not do gardening because she was hurt.

Alban is very nice and welcoming. The hostel is beautiful, clean and very sunny, and it is located in a very good position. The daily tasks are easy, but sometimes you could be asked to perform more challenging tasks like deep cleaning of the toilets.

La realidad es que no pude hacer el voluntariado. Tuve problemas con mis papeles y me tuve que volver a Argentina. Pongo esa reseña para poder explicar que no pude asistir por ese problema. Espero que no me perjudique en el futuro para otros voluntariados. Le avise de la situación que estaba pasando a la persona responsable de hablar conmigo por este medio y no sé si pudo comprenderme. Pero no tenía otra opción que volverme a mi país.
