My experience at the hostel was amazing, mainly because of the people the hostel way the place made me feel at home. The work schedule is flexible, and all volunteers are allowed to enjoy the breakfast. Additionally, each volunteer receives €20 per week to buy extra food.One point for improvement would be the management structure. It would be helpful to have a dedicated manager — someone who is not a volunteer — to oversee the tasks and handle any issues that arise in the hostel. During my stay, several unexpected situations occurred, and we had to manage them without proper support.

This is a place that feels like home, and it was really cool to be part of this team! Every day there are different activities and it's really good, the activities here are really simple and you can easily organize some time to travel if you want, but Rory is a really easygoing guy, always open to listening and always willing to help! So it was a really cool experience and I hope to be able to come back, I was really happy here.

Rory is a person very nice, empathetic, cheerful and recognizes the effort of the committed volunteer, I just have to thank for the opportunities that the hostel provoked in my life. La experiencia en el hostel fue muy buena. Rory confía mucho en los voluntarios y muy pronto podes sentirte en tu hogar. Si es un lugar que demanda de responsabilidad y compromiso y si bien se respetan los horarios y es muy accesible si requieres algún cambio, muchas veces es necesario resolver situaciones fuera de él. Yo creci muchísimo, me divertí y tuve la posibilidad de hacer grandes amigos.

My time at the hostel was very special. Rory, the rest of the volunteers, the hostel guests at the hostel all made a great introduction for my year in Ireland. I ended up staying for 3 weeks longer than my original 4 weeks. I mainly worked reception, the hostel 25 hrs of work are respected and there is a lot of flexibility to do traveling on your days off. The hostel harbours a really unique international community, and I was able to improve my Spanish and pick up a bit of other languages as well. Overall I had a positive experience, and I will definitely be back to visit!

I intended on staying only for 4 months but ended up being 8 months! I am incredibly grateful for everything I learned here and all the memories I'll carry with me forever.

Oh my God, I honestly don't even know where to start… So many incredible experiences and beautiful friendships that I'll carry forever. Mr. Rory is an amazing person, a true light on this Earth, illuminated human being. the hostel is without a doubt my second home in the universe. It gave me everything I didn't even know I needed, and it's impossible to stay just one day in this place without falling in love with it and wanting to stay forever. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything.

My experience was wonderful! The team welcomed me very well and I learned a lot from everyone. The working hours are respected, the tasks are not exhausting the hostel's location is perfect! I could practice my English with the guests and was surprised by how welcoming the Irish were. Thank you, Rory, thank you team of volunteers.

The experience in the hostel was good, the work is easy and well organized. The hostel is a really nice place to chill and you can practice your English, Spanish and Portuguese with all the staff!
