Volunteering at the hostel was my first volunteer experience, and I could not have wished for a better one! Working hours are respected and flexible, work is interesting and motivating, and staying there is fun. The best part is meeting other people and making connections, and I am so happy to say that I met the nicest people ever there! Rory is an awesome host and I will miss the other volunteers dearly. The hostel Starts was a home outside Brazil. It's a incredible place to create bonds, learning compassion, respect and understanding how powerful friendship can be. Rory makes every volunteer feel comfortable in the hostel as it was our home. He, the volunteers the hostel guests become like a family to me, everybody supports each other in that place. The job and hours are easy and you still have a lot of time to enjoy the rest of the day. I love that I was able to stay for two months and I will always recommend this experience.

It was my first time with Worldpackers and also my first real experience abroad for a month. I was a bit afraid, but I felt at home from day one at the hostel! Rory the hostel volunteers were super friendly and welcoming. The job is not difficult, with flexible schedules and two days off each week. You can help plan the rota to organize your free time. The hostel is well located, close to the center and train station. This wonderful experience helped me improve my English and meet many people and cultures. I'll carry this place, the other volunteers, and Ireland forever in my heart!

This was an amazing experience! I connected deeply with several other volunteers the hostel energy was so welcoming and lovely. The work is extremely fair, and we have plenty of food and accommodations. Everyone's personal preferences are respected, the hostel team all works really well together and makes the guests feel welcomed. This trip was really impactful for me. Just be prepared for a lot of ruckus, especially if you work remotely. Also, Rory was a great host. Super helpful and attentive and very passionate about the hostel.

It was an amazing experience for me at the hostel! The hostel is very nice place it feels like home ans also just north of Dublin and not too far from Belfast ! The tasks are well distributed, flexible, and easy to understand from the start. I met some amazing people, and Rory is super friendly if you need anything, he's always available and attentive.

My experience at the hostel was amazing, mainly because of the people the hostel way the place made me feel at home. The work schedule is flexible, and all volunteers are allowed to enjoy the breakfast. Additionally, each volunteer receives €20 per week to buy extra food.One point for improvement would be the management structure. It would be helpful to have a dedicated manager — someone who is not a volunteer — to oversee the tasks and handle any issues that arise in the hostel. During my stay, several unexpected situations occurred, and we had to manage them without proper support.

This is a place that feels like home, and it was really cool to be part of this team! Every day there are different activities and it's really good, the activities here are really simple and you can easily organize some time to travel if you want, but Rory is a really easygoing guy, always open to listening and always willing to help! So it was a really cool experience and I hope to be able to come back, I was really happy here.

Unique experience and that will be marked in my journey with great affection and gratitude. Rory is a person very nice, empathetic, cheerful and recognizes the effort of the committed volunteer, I just have to thank for the opportunities that the hostel provoked in my life.
