Recomendable! La manager muy simpática y me ayudó con todo lo que necesitaba, aprendí mucho y tuve experiencias muy bonitas en el hostel y en Palermo. Lo único que podría decir negativo seria que las instalaciones podrian mejorarse, pero se puede convivir perfectamente. <3

Ha sido una gran experiencia y repetiré! Me he sentido muy bien y muy acogida en el hostel por mis compañeros. Las tareas son fáciles y sencillas de realizar, principalmente limpieza y recepción. La comunicación con la manager es muy buena y proporciona toda la flexibilidad que puede por su parte. Por decir algo negativo es que no hay lavadora y para larga estancia se hace pesado lavar la ropa a mano y que el dinero para la comida es un poco escaso para cuatro personas. Ha sido un placer y nos vemos pronto!

My experience was amazing! I felt at home since the first day. The staff and the other volunteers were always kind to me. The tasks are simple and easy to do, and the schedules are clear and flexible. I will always be grateful for this, ci vediamo presto famiglia❤️

Mi experiencia personal ha sigo magnífica sinceramente. El hostel es un puerto por donde entran y salen personas hermosas que te dejan huella. Descubres sus vidas, sus viajes, sus pasiones. De tal forma que poco a poquito vas abriendo tu mente. También fue una oportunidad hermosa de conocer diferentes lugares de Sicilia. Pero lo mejor que me llevo es saber que no importa tanto el lugar, sino con quién lo compartes. Sin embargo, no todo ha sido bueno, el hostel tiene mucho aún por mejorar. Las instalaciones son viejas y muy lejos de ser cómodas. El trabajo solo lo hacen los voluntarios.

It was an incredible experience, there were shifts with set times, I met wonderful people at the hostel, I practiced English. It was my first volunteering and it will be unforgettable.

Staying in Palermo was a fantastic experience. I met incredible people, made genuine friendships with my fellow volunteers, and grew a lot as a person. There were challenges to overcome at the hostel, but communication solved most issues. Prospective volunteers should know that breakfast and lunch are not included. The host gives 50€ per week for volunteers to share amongst themselves for groceries. Additionally, volunteers are sometimes asked to work outside of their hours, so boundaries are important. If you are someone who enjoys a good challenge and values perseverance, this is for you!

This was my first Worldpackers experience. I had so much fun and made some really good friends. The work was manageable, although sometimes it sounded like the host expected you to work outside the agreed hours, with that being said I do think they are reasonable people and understand what you are unhappy with when you tell them. The place also felt kind of disorganized sometimes, all in all though I had such a good time in Palermo, and I'm definitely going to miss it!

I enjoyed being in Palermo and the other volunteers felt like family. The hosts were nice but I felt disrespected by them being sent passive aggressive texts and shouted at in my room. I chose to leave three days early then.We would see the host an hour or two a day and deal with guests arriving at midnight or after our shift. There was no food as told but 13€ a week for it, with one girl being given 20€ without us being told. The room had no door, we had little hot water and guests could walk into our room, a guest was robbed before I arrived. I had to buy supplies in our free time.

The experience was overall Good. The city has a lot. Great food, beautiful oceans. I met lots of friends and had fun. Truthfully I wouldn't recommend staying over 4 weeks. The shower barely works, no door on host room, no water, 12-15 euros for food per week, no laundry. No food included. So be prepared to provide for yourself. But other than that it was good.

This was my first WorldPackers experience! Palermo is a beautiful city and the hostel is very close to the main interesting points in the city also bus and train station. The tasks are easy to complete. Enza is such a sweetheart and open to feedback. Thank you Francesco and Enza for having me there!
