I spent the month of August at the hostel and it has been an amazing experience. The hostel is very big, with lots of communal areas where you can chill or have fun with the others, it is located in the centre and everything is easy to reach by walking. The environment at the hostel is very good and you get to meet so many nice people from all over the world. The staff at the hostel is very helpful, welcoming, easy going and they really make sure to give you all you need in order to spend a good time there. The work sometimes can be tiring but easy to manage. Definitely recommend!

As my first volunteer experience I strongly recommend it. Work is not difficult, lots of free time available, spacious hostel in a nice city. I met many people from all over the world. I had a good time with the staff and the volunteers, I got along really well with them.

It was a great experience to be on the hostel. The hostel and the people Are amazing, it was my first volunteering and I definetly recommend the place. Chris, Hervé and Virgine are really cool, also the ambient with the volunteers is really good. The work is easy and the installations are pretty good, there are some rooms where you can go if you need to work or study.

My first experience at the hostel was perfect and unique, I felt really welcomed and respected. Chris was really nice and polite as well as all his team, hevé and virginie. Everyone was very patient with my level of English. I had to leave before the deadline and they understood perfectly. The hostel is very organized and the tasks too, repeat the schedules and the days off. Not only do I recommend the experience, but I would like to return. Kisses and a big hug. see u ♡

One of the best experiences of my life!! Undoubtedly the hostel and its people have made this experience something very special. The hostel is very large and has many spaces that volunteers can take advantage of (kitchen, , TV room, reading room, games room!, etc). In it you find where you're able to be surrounded by people, as for example, the kitchen or the games room and quiet spaces to study or read (reading room and games room in the mornings). The atmosphere with the staff and volunteers was great. I felt very comfortable from the start and it only got better as the weeks went by!!

Being there was amazing! It was my 5th volunteer, but the first in a hostel. The group of people was very nice (there were 11 of us at the time). Chris, Hervé and Virgin have been very attentive and kind with me. Working hours were always respected, having 3 days a week off allowed me to get to know many parts of the beautiful Scotland. It is a place I would go back!

The hostel Backpacker Hostel is very well located in the city center...close to everything! Very well structured Hostel with excellent living spaces! Thank you so much for the excellent volunteer opportunity. I really recommend it!

I couldn't imagine a better first experience as a volunteer! I was very well received in the hostel and I met a lot of great people. In general, the staff or volunteers will always be there to help you if needed. The work required is not very complicated and doesn't take much time. The many free times allow you to easily discover the beauty of Scotland but also to enjoy the various facilities of the hostel. I hope to be able to come back one day!

I don't know how to sum up in the word gratitude all the wonderful experience I had in the hostel. The hostel staff, Chris, Virginie, Hervé and the guests Adrian and Dareel that I had contact with are amazing people. Everyone made me feel at home. Tasks were well established. In a short time you learn everything you need to do. I had time to get to know the hostel and the surrounding towns. In less than a month I met people from more than seven countries. I made friendships that I will carry for life. It was an incredible experience for me. I only have good things to say.

I stayed a month in the hostel with the best team ever and I really loved to be there. The hostel is fantastic and has so many different stories. The best games room is there and I had a lot of fun with the team. The staff were amazing with me and I learned a lot with them. The city has a lot of little places to visit and and the experience was really wonderful. I am super thankfull and l'll miss my place in Scotland.
