The experience was so amazing and we wee so sad to leave, in the end the family was like our family who we still keep in touch with. It's a very lovely concept of creating a local iSchool so it involves teaching at home to a small group of kids but every other day we also went into schools to play English games etc. You get lots of free time and the work is not hard at all if you are good with children. A very good way to truly experience the culture as even the neighbours were welcoming and inviting us to dinner. Our highlight travelling so far!

I don't like I LOVED staying at Ban Bon Doi with Fai and her family! Everyone is so kind and warm and i enjoyed every second! The food is SO great, i am vegan and they cooked me everytime an extra meal 🥹 100% recommendation!!

Working at Ban Bon Doi was a very meaningful experience for me! I met lovely people, not only the other volunteers but also my students, often super cute Thai people who are happy just to talk to you:) The place is very chill, it's a perfect place to relax, do some yoga and enjoy their food. Definitely recommend it! The only little bad part was that I wasn't really welcomed and introduced to how things are working… but they'd answer kindly to every question!

My experience was very positive! The homestay is beautiful and peaceful. We did bamboo rafting and had cooking classes. The English classes are easy and the students very dear, the only downside is the concentrated schedule (which is good on the other hand because the rest of the day is more free). As for the discounts on drinks and food, I'm not sure if it was a communication error but we didn't get any. The meals they serve us are wonderful and the staff is very, very dear and I highly recommend the Ban Bon Doi homestay.

I had a blast as a volunteer at Ban Bon Doi ! The team was nice and fun, I am thankful to Fai, Ping Pong, Gong and all the others for their warm welcome. I really felt like I was at home. The meals are great and you have the possibility to participate in various activities, either for free (cooking class every tuesday) or for a discounted price (bamboo rafting). The work is easy and rewarding, you teach English classes online to motivated and nice students (children and adults). You will also meet other amazing volunteers ! I would 100% recommend this experience !

I loved this experience. The accommodation is beautiful, surrounded by nature, very quiet. The staff is very friendly and the food provided is delicious, I miss it already!! The online classes are not difficult, you just have to prepare some activities to study with the children or adults (or sometimes it's just conversation, it depends), but it is actually very simple and we can teach the classes in a beautiful tent. If you want to participate in activities like bamboo rafting you can ask about it, I highly recommend it, it's a lot of fun. We also learned how to cook some Thai dishes.

Amazing experience! You get in touch with the nature in this hostel with a lot of animals and plants. The staff of the hostel is very warm and friendly, the bed is comfortable and is anti-mosquito (I suggest taking a spray anyway); the meals are excellent and varied also following the Thai culture; the place is really quiet and relaxing, not too far from the city and you can find shops very close. The students are very nice and have a lot of desire to learn, in short, a nice experience to relax and chat in English. I recommend it to everyone!

I had a great experience volunteering at Ban Bon Doi Homestay! The people are friendly, they respect your schedule, the place is very quiet, the food is good and, if you rent a bike, you can get to know the surrounding nature. But it's a bit far from the city, so it can be difficult to get to and from. Thank you for welcoming me!

I felt so welcomed here and they were so flexible. I had some troubles before visiting which caused me to have to arrive later and leave earlier but they were so flexible and supportive with what i needed. They plan activities every week to get the volunteers together and they also plan outside excursions for your time off. Great experience and host!
