Wild & Wandering Group
The #1 pre-party and party hostel at the Full Moon Party on tropical island paradises of Koh Phangan, Thailand, and beyond. Famously casual and social, we are known for treating our guests like friends and all socializing and partying together! The volunteers we look for need to be responsible and dependable to handle basic hostel duties by day, but also social and fun partiers that will enjoy hanging out with guests and partying at night!
**PLEASE NOTE: If you apply or message during Full Moon Week, you probably won't get an answer until after the party week is over. We respond to nearly every request, but during the party we go 24/7 and catch up with messages after.** We are a very relaxed and casual bunch, operating in organized chaos. We are ALL here for the love of travel, backpacking, and living in paradise, no one's in it for the money here! I should warn, we have wicked and dirty senses of humor and communicate for work and fun via group chat that gets pretty wild, not for the faint of heart! We've been lucky to find guys and girls that can keep up with our craziness!

This volunteer work is very lively, and I recommend it especially for extroverted people because it is a lot of fun. For those who are not very extroverted, it is also a good opportunity to train social skills and interact with people. I also recommend trying to talk to the local team, because they are really nice once you get to know them. The time I spent with the group at the festival was a memorable and very positive experience.

This was my first worldpackers experience so I didn’t go into it expecting much. This is a great experience if you’re looking for a social experience. I met the most wonderful outgoing people while I stayed, the staff are very friendly and want to get to know you and hangout. The workload is very light and it’s made to be fun! I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re social and enjoy a good time :)

volunteering at WET was a great time. I loved meeting and becoming friends with the other volunteers. The work is really easy, and you only work during the week of the full moon, so the other three weeks I worked remotely, and explored the island. There is plenty of time to party after work. I definitely would recommend this experience to anyone who likes to party with a group of new friends. Loren is a very kind host, and super helpful with anything you ask for! I definitely would return to this experience, or even has a friend to visit if I am ever back on Koh Phangan.

The work is pretty straight forward, pretty much just socialize with guests and promote the hostel's parties around town. Your experience is really going to come down to whether you like the parties on the island, which is mostly techno and rave music. Not really for me. The hostel staff are awesome and super friendly though, I will miss them!
Some people complained that you don't really get communication or work before the 5 days around full moon which I don't really get.. just chill and have fun? Loren is pretty cool and doesn't micromanage your work. Overall a good experience

While staying here, I found the living conditions to be quite challenging. The volunteer spaces weren’t very comfortable, and several aspects of the accommodation made it difficult to rest or feel settled. I fully understand that volunteering often comes with basic housing, but in this case the conditions were below what I’ve experienced in other work-exchange environments. For anyone considering volunteering here, I’d recommend keeping an open mind, being flexible, and prepared for things to be a bit informal in terms of direction and workflow.
