Yak fue toda una aventura , excelente lugar para desconectar y aprender muchas cosas de ti y de los demás , el equipo y el staff son personas increíbles con un corazón enorme , no solamente fue un viaje por personas , fue una experiencias con compañeros que ahora puedo llamar familia .

Amazing experience. The month i have spended there passed so fast. It was my first volunteering and this experience made me want to do it again and again. Bacalar is also an amazing place. There isn’t another lagoon in the world like that. Super recommend it.

El voluntariado en el Yak fue una gran experiencia. El equipo de staff siempre fueron muy amables conmigo, los coordinadores de actividades siempre respetaron las horas acordadas y estuvieron atentos a cualquier inconveniente. Te dan una comida al día, la cual es suficiente. Los voluntarios duermen en la casa de staff, a menos de 5 minutos del hostal, los cuartos están en buenas condiciones, con aire acondicionado e internet, sin embargo, la cocina no se mantiene en las mejores condiciones, suele estar sucia y poco equipada. Sin duda volvería, la laguna y los cenotes en Bacalar son mágicos.

Volunteering here is such a fun experience! The people are great, so kind and inviting, and the activities in the hostel are fun and a great way to meet new people. The work is very fair and living in Bacalar is an amazing experience, there's a good balance of relaxation and fiesta. The staff housing is close to the hostel and the rooms are fine, but the kitchens are pretty dirty and some essentials like dish soap are not provided. Overall I would definitely recommend volunteering here if you are outgoing, can go with the flow, and like to party.

Trabajar en el Yak es muy flexible y trabajo amigable. Al tener responsabilidades en las actividades e interacción con los huéspedes, realmente no tiene una gran demanda de esfuerzo, si no que la pasas bien y muy sociable. Tiempo flexible y adecuado para conocer Bacalar y sus alrededores. Compañeros muy amigables y un ambiente bueno.
Te dan la comida del medio día y vives en una casa de staff, no en el hostal Yak donde trabajas.
Excelente lugar para trabajar!
