We had a great month volunteering at the surf hostel and really enjoyed our time here! We met so many amazing people from across the world, we were invited into a wonderful community where there were events on every night. The hostel is right next to the beach meaning in our spare time we could swim/ surf etc. I would recommend for sure:)

Me and my partner volunteered here for 4 weeks. It was amazing to hostel is in the perfect location and always have an event on a night for guests to meet eachother. We met so many good people during our stay and couldn’t recommend it enough for people looking to have a good time in Sri Lanka
The hostel has a cafe on site which sells really good food to.

We give chances to talked to each other n change their time as they wanted with other volunteers.thats we do.in future we will change do the calender soon.

There was a small miscommunication with the host at the beginning, which was handled well and the host was flexible and accommodating. Due to other reasons I ended up volunteering for only 1,5 weeks instead of four. The host was very understanding about that. Overall I had a good volunteering experience and the surf hostel is very social with lovely people!!

I had such a great time volunteering at Be Cool! The work was rewarding and fun and I met a lot of amazing people because of it. Both the people I worked with and the travellers I met really made the experience. I learnt a bunch of new skills and got to improve my surfing as well. Can’t recommend a volunteer more. If you’re good with a camera and have some editing skills you’ll doing great!

Ive had a great time at the surf hostel. The hostel is fairly clean. The kitchen is not good though and is not fully equipped either. the is no way of heating food except for a kettle. The staff fridge doesnt work either. The rooms are quite clean and tidy but in general the hostel needs a bit more maintenance. I worked way more than the worldpackers blog described and not for a lot tbh. At one point i made socialmedia, were socialhost and in reception at the same time for only a bed. The host needs to be way better at teaching his crew. It was amazing because of the people for me.

Altogether, the total value you receive for a 20-day stay is well over USD 300.
More than that we cannot do that
