As a volunteer at Surfo House you can expect great vibes, good lodging and to make new friends!
The tasks are very easy to get done and you can enjoy Tamarindo beach and the surrounding areas on your time off, would 100% recommend.

I had a great time volunteering at Surfo House! The host Arturo was super accommodating, especially considering I gave him less than 24hrs notice that I would like to volunteer since my previous volunteer experience wasn’t as expected. He was able to accommodate me quickly and I felt welcome among the other volunteers immediately. Arturo is very flexible with scheduling if you would like to explore other areas of Costa Rica and it is easy to trade shifts with other volunteers which is convenient as well. The hostel is in a perfect location close to the beach & activities. I had no issues

I spent almost a month at Surfo House as a volunteer, and I already feel nostalgic about not being there anymore :( There was a great connection between the volunteers and the guests. Thank you to Arturo for his trust—he’s very attentive, gives great advice, and is flexible when it comes to scheduling!
As for the hostel’s location, it’s just a 1-minute walk from the main street with bars and clubs, and only 3 minutes from the beach. You couldn’t ask for a better spot!
It was my first volunteering experience and I’m left with incredible memories. Thank you Surfo House !!

Estuve un mes el Surfo House y fue una experiencia muy buena y entretenida. Arturo está al tanto de todo y cualquier duda es respondida a la brevedad. El lugar es muy acogedor y confortable, queda muy cerca de la playa y supermercado mas barato de Tamarindo, además de cerca de los lugares donde se hacen actividades. 100% recomendado

This experience at Surfo House was absolutely exceptional. There are always between three and four volunteers, the shifts are from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and you share the shifts with them. Tamarindo is absolutely beautiful and the hotel is three-minute walk from the beach (be careful, everything is expensive). Arturo, the manager, tries his best to accommodate you and is very kind and super interesting. Meals and laundry are not included. If you want to surf, party and meet travelers from all over the world, this is definitely the best volunteering you can dream of.
