We have 50 beds which means there's always a nice person to meet and make new friends. We are located in Bellas Artes, a trendy neighborhood in downtown with great connectivity. We receive a lot of messages and usually fill positions quickly, try searching for more than a month ahead!

Every Tuesday we offer FREE DINNER. Yeah! That's right. It is a great opportunity to make friends and meet other people. Welcome to our hostel. Bienvenidos!

My first experience as a volunteer was great. The routine tasks are quite easy, and the days you have to work the most are Saturdays and Sundays, but it's not even 5 hours a day, it's much less.
The people are amazing, very upbeat. Lita, the lady who works at the hostel, is like a mother. She helped me a lot with tasks and with Spanish.
It's recommended that you have a basic understanding of Spanish; otherwise, you'll have difficulty communicating.
I thank Ari for the opportunity and support, Lita for the chats, laughs, and help, and all the guests who have always been courteous.

Fue una gran experiencia.
Pude practicar tanto español como inglés con los invitados.
Todos me trataron muy bien y el ambiente fue muy agradable, además el hostel estaba bien ubicado, cerca de todo lo que necesitaba.
Recomiendo a todo aquel que quiera conocer Chile ir a Santiago Backpackers.
Ari y Lita son muy tranquilas y amigables.

Fue mi primer experiencia y fue muy agradable. Santiago Backpackers es un co living, así que la gente se queda por mucho tiempo y las tareas son sencillas. La gente de aquí es como una gran familia, que hace con que la experiencia sea muy entretenida. Es muy céntrico, cerca de todo lo necesario y un bueno lugar para practicar español y inglés. Gracias Lita por su tiempo conmigo, por las charlas y por todo aprendizaje. Y gracias Ari por la oportunidad.

Santiago Backpackers was my second experience at WP and it was very useful to live more and different volunteer experiences. I connected with people from different parts of the world, practice my English like never before and make good friends.
Teaming up with Lita, for whom I was her assistant and replacement on the weekends, was very entertaining and welcoming. We shared breakfasts and lunches where laughter was never lacking. Thanks for giving me chicken and rice!
The tasks are mainly cleaning common spaces. The idea is to make guests feel in a clean and welcoming place.
