I had an amazing time at Peanuts hostel. The hostel is very well organized and has a homely feel. The work to be done is easy and varied so felt productive. I was there in October and the hostel was quiet with a good amount of guest change over.

Hostel is 30 mins from the beach, 20 minutes from the bus stop which is very accessible.

Silke was a pleasure to meet and have as a host. We did things around the place as a team. She is a lovely person that provided great conversation and introduced me to locals, and yummy German treats.

I would recommend this experience in a heart beat!

Volunteering at Peanuts was a truly amazing experience! Silke is such a lovely, patient Anne warmhearted host. She really became a friend to me during my time in Schwedeneck. The guests in the hostel are a nice mix of solo travelers (mostly Germans), families with children and couples. Everyone I met here was very warmhearted and we spent lots of nights at the campfire making Stockbrot ;) The tasks are easy to fulfill and Silke is very helping and flexible. I’ll hopefully return someday :)

This was my first volunteering experience and it was definitely a great way to start! Silke was always nice with me and my friend and she took her time to let us know how everything worked. The tasks were simple and it didn’t take us too long to get them done. Since there are bikes available, it is easy to get around. We were able to unwind and relax, but we also were able to get to know close and beautiful cities like Eckernförde. All over, it was an amazing experience :)

I had a great experience at Peanuts!
Silke is kind and respectful, and the atmosphere is very chill. The tasks are clear and manageable, and you usually finish quite early, so there’s plenty of free time to enjoy the area. I really appreciated the trust and freedom we had while volunteering. Totally recommended!

It was my first worldpacker experience and it was amazing. Silke is a really nice and caring host that will help you with everything you need, the room she provided was comfortable and cozy. The tasks are easy and well explained so I could spend long time to explore the beautiful surroundings fields around the hostel and the beach nearby , the supermarket is 15-20 minutes ride with bicycle which is also very convenient. Overall I strongly recommend about the experience at Peanuts hostel.
