Because we prioritise an active and healthy community. We host family dinners, trips, games nights, bon fires, surfing, beach visits and star gazing just to name a few. We believe your trip here should be a memorable experience where you connect with the guests, other staff, owners and the island.

We're 5 owners who connected via a shared love of surfing and the beautiful island of Tenerife. We love to explore and be active, and created our Coliving to be a place for digital nomads to find a happy work-life balance. The volunteers will be treated as part of our family! We want our staff to be happy here and to spread this good energy with our guests - who are also awesome! Each of our roles will involve some dedicated tasks, and then a portion of the role will be to host activities with the guests. Be it organising some games, taking them hiking or choosing a movie to watch in our outdoor cinema!

Volunteering at Maraya was such a great experience! It was only my second time volunteering and my first time in a coliving space – and I couldn’t have picked a better place. I even extended my stay which says it all :)

The people, the vibe, the food – everything was just wonderful. You stay in a cozy private hut (caseta), the shifts are easy/doable and well organized with weekly team meetings, and there’s plenty of free time.

It really sounded too good to be true, but everything on Worldpackers is accurate – and the reality is even better. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Marayans 💗

Maraya is a perfect experience for volunteers, the location is paradise, the work is enjoyable and not demanding, the owners are so kind and welcoming and the community they have created is very beautiful and unique. You get your own living space that is private and comfortable and Mayo the cat is a delightful room mate :)
I couldn’t recommend it more and as it was my first volunteering experience, I feel truly blessed to be welcomed as a part of this ever growing family! Thank you Maraya!!!

Maraya coliving is my first coliving experience and it couldn't be better. The owners created a perfect place for people who like the idea of work/vacation in one. Volunteers have all what was promised, yoga,workout place, pool,garden,workplaces, delicious meals and accommodation( caseta here ) are amazing and community is the heart of Maraya. In a nutshell, I highly recommend this volunteer experience.

What an amazing time I’ve had in Maraya! I think places like that are very rare, and if you have the chance to go just take it! From the first day I felt completely accepted and loved, the hosts are amazing people and also the volunteers and the guests. Diving into details the tasks are always very clear such as the communication with the team and I always received all the support I needed. Thanks to this experience and the loved I received from everyone I really learned to step out of my comfort zone and being more confident about myself.
On a side note the place is stunning!
