Our hostel/hotel offers a very family-friendly experience in a peaceful and comfortable environment. We are looking for independent, responsible people who are willing to help with daily tasks. Here you can enjoy a welcoming space, surrounded by good company and with time to relax or explore the area. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing this experience together!

We are a Spanish couple who have created this business with a lot of enthusiasm and effort. Volunteers will be part of our family team and we try to make them feel at home.

volunteering experience with Alex and Esther at Maktub Hotel was very enriching. From the beginning, I felt warmly welcomed and quickly integrated.
The tasks were clear and matched the description on Worldpackers. Alex and Esther are kind, respectful, and always available to share advice about both work and local life.
I truly enjoyed this experience and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and meaningful volunteering opportunity.

It was an awesome time i had with Ester and Alex! Everything up on agreed on was fulfilled and all the working hours where respected. I really felt welcome and in good hands. We had a lot good and funny conversations! The surfhouse it self is not as social as a hostel you must be aware of that, but for me it was no problem. I would always come back!!!

Volunteering at the Maktub surf hostel was such a special experience! From day one I felt super welcome and at home. The vibe is relaxed, fun, and it’s so easy to meet amazing people from all over the world.

Esther and Alex were incredible! always helpful, kind, and full of good energy, which made everything so much more enjoyable. I loved sharing time with everyone, learning about surf culture, and creating unforgettable memories.

If you’re thinking about coming here, do it – you’ll have the best time! 🌊✨

If you are thinking to join Maktub Surf House, this is a recommendation from me as a Turkish Volunteer :) The tasks were quite fair and simple, the team gave me a lot of smiley face and fun moments while working together.
It was a pleasure to meet Alex and Esther and I am glad to join them with this program! I wish I could stay more but I have to go…
Tamraght is now a part of my heart and thank you Alex and Esther for your help and everything. For sure I will come and see you next time! :)

The area is Touristique, but the nearby villages are very local. Beautiful culture.
An excellent place to start learning to surf.
