La familia de Lorca

Our house is ideal for young people who want to live with a Spanish family in a quiet neighbourhood in the huerta of Lorca. You will enjoy a large courtyard with swimming pool, relaxation area and a relaxing and cosy atmosphere.
We are within walking distance of the town centre. With pedestrian and cycle paths that start directly from the entrance of the accommodation. The historic centre is a 15/20 minute walk away and the coast is 35 minutes away by car.

For us it is a linguistic-cultural exchange and we want you to come and enjoy our family and our environment. Get to know us and we can explain better how you could help us!

If you are looking for an incredible home stay experience, you’ve found it! I was immediately welcomed and made to feel like a part of this wonderfully close knit family. Their home is beautiful and clean, and they showed me kindness, respect, and generosity throughout my stay. I really enjoyed helping Mariló and Juan José with their English as they are both excited to learn and fun to spend time with. We visited local castles and churches and I learned so much about Lorca’s incredible history. Also, Maria Dolores’s food is amazing! They are an extraordinary family- I will miss them so much!

What an experience! Form the very beginning I felt SUPER welcomed. Everybody tried to always make me feel like a member of the family, and they succeeded for sure! I had to work very few hours and working with Mariló and Juan Jo is been super easy and fun! With this volunteering experience I immersed myself in Spanish amazing culture (castles, beaches, food, music, traditions, art, the language and much more!) and, most importantly, I made lifelong friends. I really couldn't have expected anything better! Ojalá we'll meet in Italy next time 😊♥️
