Over the years we have become really good friends and that is one of the reasons for the good atmosphere and team work at the reception. We care for each other, have fun together and it really feels like a big family! This should be paid up to a month prior to your arrival date and will be refunded at the end of your stay. The down-payment can be done via Paypal or bank wire. Thank you!

The Ruthensteiner Hostel was the best volunteer placement I've ever been at.
The schedule was incredibly fair and super flexible, entirely designed by the volunteers. This included the complete freedom to choose activities and the choice of meals, which were also decided by us. The community both the volunteers and the staff were carefully chosen, which created one of the absolute best teams I've ever had the pleasure of working alongside. The whole experience went far beyond what I initially expected, in the best possible way. I absolutely recommend it, especially for long term.

I really enjoyed this volunteering experience and can definitely recommend it! The hostel is very cozy and social. The volunteers and the workers are very open and welcoming. Additionally the hours were very reasonable to what we got in exchange :)

Ha sido una experiencia única, el ambiente en el hostel es super acogedor, tiene espacios comunes con sofás, juegos de mesa e instrumentos musicales para todos, cenas comunes y bar; Pero sobre todo el equipo de voluntarios es lo que más destaca, convives y compartes con 7 o 8 voluntarios más en el hostel, gente que un día no conoces y al día siguiente se convierte en tu familia y en tu día a día y no podría estar más agradecida de cómo funcionó nuestro grupo en este mes que estuve. Espero de corazón que si os animáis a vivir esta experiencia sea tan bonita como la mía.

Hostel Ruthenstein is truly unique. I feel that once you get to know the people it becames an unreal experience. It is a massive hostel with a lot of staff and all are truly amazing. The hours are super resonable and in accordance to the description. You choose your own shifts so if you don't like something specific you can work around it. I loved doing breakfast shifts because the crew were simply amazing. Reception and housekeeping staff as well were true legends. I loved them all but special shout to mobin and paul, top lads!!! I know this hostel has helped me improve and it will help you.

I have no words to describe how my experience at this hostel changed me. I stayed for only 7 weeks and I wish I could have stayed for one year. I think this experience made me a better person, much more sociable, aware of my boundaries and able to co-live with different people. What I am going to miss more are the friendships, and all the wonderful people that work at the hostel and made my stay memorable.
