Because it is fun. Because you will meet a lot of good people. Because you will learn a lot.
We are working with volunteers for 10 years and we think that it is always a benefit for the volunteer and also for the Hostel. We think volunteering in places like ours is a perfect opportunity for young people to travel the world on a small budget.

I am Claas and I run Hostel Albania since 2009. We have a great team on staff and we are very carefull in choosing our volunteers as we think they shuld fit into our team.

I had a great time volunteering in Albania! The hostel is in a great location - walking distance from the city centre with grocery stores, restaurants and cafes just downstairs. The hostel is cozy and the rooftop is the perfect place to hang out. The work is not hard - basic cleaning of the hostel, making beds, reception etc. and Class was flexible with our schedule letting us have a few days off in a row which let us travel and explore other places around Albania!

I stayed at Hostel Albania Loft in the peak of summer. Claas made it clear it was a collaborative experience right from the start. The work consists of cleaning and reception. Volunteers have a lot of freedom to decide how best they would like to approach the work.

Socialising with the guests is optional but with a rooftop like that you can't help but start chatting!

Food is provided as ingredients. A least once a week Claas runs a BBQ for everyone or he will cook a group dinner.

The hostel is also fairly conveniently located, be close to food and 3 supermarkets.

A experiência foi positiva.
- localização do hostel é central, tem tudo perto. - o trabalho é tranquilo e as horas são respeitadas
- a agenda de trabalho é bem flexível, no meu caso eu só seguir juntar dias para fazer pequenas viagens internas, o que foi otimo.
- quanto a alimentação, não espere muito. No meu caso, eu sempre comprei a minha comida, pois nem sempre tinha e só esperem o básico, como miolo, macarrão, arroz pão e ovo as vezes.
- quanto ao quarto, as camas são confortáveis, já a limpeza vai depender do grupo de voluntários que estiverem no momento.

My experience was good, as always it is essential to get along with the other volunteers, otherwise the experience could be different, since the owner is not very often, he is a man with good intentions, perhaps he should improve his communication a little for what he wants, regarding food, he delivers, do not expect a variety of options of course.

Thanks for your review. We always try to adjust. Almost every volunteer has a different diet, preferences or even allergies. We do our best to keep everyone happy. We encourage our volunteers to tell us what they like. So in general it works like that, that we buy certain regular things (as you know we have a cupboard and a fridge only for volunteers) to stack up the basics. if U talk about verity, that also depends on what volunteers request.
