High Street Hostel
We are in the heart of Edinburgh and staying with us is not only an opportunity to experience the city but it is also an experience to be a part of our hostel family.
We are a fresh, new , young team that are very eager to bring a whole new energy to an old and beautiful building.
I am looking for staff that are respectful, easy-going and hard working. We need people who will not only bring a positive vibe to the hostel but also, are able to share their ideas so that we can continue to make this hostel feel even more like a home. See you soon!

This was the perfect place to have my first Worldpackers experience. Everyone was super welcoming, the working hours were easily manageable, and the job was easy and well organized.
The best part is the people you get to meet here. There are volunteers from all over the world, and I was able to create amazing friendships.
They also organize lots of events, so you’ll have plenty of fun. On top of that, the hostel’s location is perfect for exploring the city and enjoying the nightlife. I really, really recommend this hostel to everyone!

Volunteering at High Street Hostel was probably the best five weeks of my life. I met incredible people, made lasting connections, and felt so welcomed by an incredible group of people. If you want a home away from home this is the place to be. You'll find music, laughter, discover the charm of Edinburgh, and feel like you're part of a family. I'll definitely find my way back to this beautiful place.

I had the time of my life at High Street Hostel!
I loved every moment i spend here, from doing the daily activities that are being organized by the hostel to just hanging around the lounge with the other volunteers, there was never a dull moment here.
The work that has to be done is so fair and easily manageable that it gives you plenty of time to explore the city and its surrounding nature.
I'm going to miss everybody immensely and can't wait to come back!

This is a truly amazing place to stay and volunteer. The work is so fair and people are absolutely amazing! You’ll get a lot of free time to explore the city and have fun. The lounge and kitchen is very spacious and different fun events are going on everyday. I’m looking forward to coming back again!

I truly cannot recommend High Street Hostel enough. From my first day, everyone--both management and volunteers--made sure I felt at home. It was my first time working at a hostel, and probably the most social environment I'd ever been exposed to, so I was a bit overwhelmed at the start but, within a few days, I already felt I had a second family in Edinburgh. I never thought I would miss hoovering, shooting pool after lunch, eating pain au chocolats for breakfast, or sleeping in a 16-bed dorm so much, but it was these mundane moments I'll remember the most. I can't wait to come back!!
