A warm welcome here in this historical house, lots going on in this arty place. I have had amazing reviews on Workaway, which sadly is not working now in the UK. I love the cultural exchange when people stay from allover the world.

Just me and the people that I teach, all my fiends who call in regularly. I am a working artist and printmaker, taking inspiration form the local environment. This is an eco friendly house and garden.

Karen is such an amazing host. From the first day that I arrived she made me feel extremely welcome (not only her but her family as well). I had the pleasure of spending the Christmas and New Years holidays here and it was so amazing. Karen made sure that I was always included in any events she had going on! I learned so much from Karen in my time here. I definitely recommend helping if you love art, nature and learning Scottish culture. Karen is such an interesting person that I hope to keep in touch with for many years to come. PS, she is an amazing cook! Lots of love Karen! Thank you💜

She was really nice! The house is beautiful and tasks are more than fair, I left early for personal reasons, but I am grateful I met Karen anyways, she is soo lovely🥰 I love her accent!

It’s a peaceful and natural place that immediately makes you feel calm and relaxed. The house is beautifully decorated and full of artistic details, like a living art museum. Karen is a wonderful teacher who has taught me everyday English, painting, and many useful life skills. Her cooking is amazing, and she even took me to visit many beautiful places and cities across Scotland. The work here is light and flexible. I’ve truly felt the warmth of home here, and this experience has been an unforgettable cross-cultural journey in my life. I deeply appreciate her kindness and patience. 🫶🏻✨

It was an absolute pleasure to spend a month with Karen! Her house is beautiful and it was a special experience for me and my wife.
Karen is a great host, she is more than reasonable in terms of working hours and tasks.
The time that we spent with her was full of warmth, art, meaningful conversations and delicious food.
The area is absolutely amazing in any weather.

Me and my husband stayed with Karen for a month and it was magical. I enjoyed the nature in the area, her house, her company and food. Everything about our experience was great.
Karen is very caring and thoughtful, moreover she is an incredible artist that has many knowledge and stories to share.
Her house and studio became a real home for me for this months and I'm really grateful to Karen for creating such a safe and beautiful environment.
