From the very beginning, I felt incredibly welcomed by the community and especially by the children we worked with every day. The project itself is a beautiful mix of education, equality, sustainability, animal care, and community building (and of course, the surfing is a big plus!). It truly offers a space where everyone can contribute in their own way. Pedro is a truly inspiring person. You can feel how much heart and energy he pours into this project, his commitment and vision are contagious. I can 100% recommend this to anyone looking to volunteer in a meaningful, joyful, and grounded way.

Amigos Del Mar is a great organization that really makes a difference in people’s life on the island. The other volunteers and people from the foundation are very nice too and I felt really comfortable with the whole living situation. Even though I couldn’t stay for long, I’ll still take away a lot and am very grateful to have had this experience. Definitely recommend for especially extroverted people that love working with kids :)

What an amazing experience! I'm so grateful I had the opportunity to be a part of Amigos del Mar for a month. It's a fantastic organisation doing great things and I feel that for a short time I've been able to contribute just a little to help the cause. Personal challenges emerged unexpectedly which made me reflect and observe my judgements, my feelings and reactions to situations, so I feel the experience has made me grow personally. I learnt so much about the people on Tierra Bomba and how the kids live. When they engage and laugh with you, it's like gold.

My experience with Amigos del Mar was wonderful. I was welcomed from the very first day, lived special moments with the children and the community, and learned just as much as I taught. I return with a full heart, immense gratitude, and memories I will cherish forever. 💙🌊 I highly recommend it!

Volunteering with Amigos del Mar was an incredibly enriching experience. Their daily presence in the lives of the children brings not only education, but also hope, care, and a sense of belonging. In the three weeks spent there I could see how they are a beautiful initiative that creates real change in a community facing serious social and environmental challenges. Their ongoing efforts to support the children and raise awareness about environmental issues make a lasting difference. I highly recommend it for everyone searching for a chance to witness and support such meaningful work.
