We are Demo and Tono — fashion designers, creatives, and parents who live with heart and intention. 💛 Our life revolves around art, family, nature, and meaningful connection. Volunteers are treated as collaborators, not just helpers. We offer kindness, trust, and open communication, and we deeply value your time, talents, and presence. My stay with Demo and Tono was a great personal experience. They provided everything I needed to feel relaxed and comfortable: a private place in nature, good food, and nice weekends. They took care of me. As my first volunteering experience, I met wonderful volunteers and learned a lot. Simeon is a smart child with great potential, but he needs more interaction with kids his age. Sometimes he became aggressive from boredom, as he spends much time at home. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I hope Simeon can spend more quality time with his parent and interact more with other kids.

thank you for your feedback and the kind words.

We’d like to clarify one important point: this role is not simple childcare, but a science- and curiosity-driven mentoring role, which requires active engagement and leading activities. Simeon is a very curious, intelligent, and kind child, and when he isn’t sufficiently challenged or guided, frustration can naturally appear.

We know this is not an easy role and it’s not for everyone 🙂

Demo and Tono are the most incredible hosts! Never did I think while backpacking I would be hosted by such kind, generous and lovely people. Simeon is an amazing kid - he is smart and curious and has endless amounts of energy.

Demo and Tono made sure we were able to experience everything Southern Bulgaria has to offer and we loved every minute of it.

One thing for sure is that we will definitely be back in the future!

This experience was truly one of a kind. Demo and Tono are the most generous and giving people who make sure you are looked after and comfortable at all times. They are genuinely excited for you to explore their country and provide everything you would need to make this happen. Simeon is truly unique and an intelligent kid filled with curiosity. He is like a sponge absorbing information and with blow you away describing scientific processes at five years old. if you are even considering volunteering with them - this is your sign!

Staying with Tono, Demo and Simeon was a special and enriching experience. Simeon is a very energetic kid, motivated to learn a lot. We made so much interesting things that at the end of the day I also learned new things. Nearby the beautiful moments with Simeon, demo and Tono gave me a lot of opportunities to see the area in which they live. Schedule and housing changes are happening from time to time and required flexibility so if you love spontaneity is this place perfect for you! Tono, Demo and Simeon you have a special place in my heart.
