Animal lovers will enjoy caring for our many rescued cats and poultry, forming real bonds while learning about animal care in a free and natural environment.

You'll also have the chance to explore the surrounding area and get a more authentic look at life in rural Portugal.

I’m Ana, 23, the founder of CatsVille. I live here with my mother, Anabela, and my brother, Neo. Together, we care for this land, its many cats, our poultry, and work toward a more self-sufficient, sustainable life. We live fully off-grid and earn a living through our small Etsy business. We’re currently focusing on improving our infrastructure — especially water, energy, and waste systems — and we’d love help from volunteers who are open to learning, sharing, and contributing. At CatsVille, you can expect to be treated with kindness and respect. I do my best to support each volunteer based on their unique strengths and challenges. We’re all learning together here, and I hope you leave having grown, contributed, and found a bit of inspiration.
