The nearest JR train station is located about 7km from our place. Our house is surrounded by forest. This place is not introduced in any traveler's book, though worth experience for Japanese country life!

Our family members like to spend time with guests. Expected to enjoy time with us. Our morning starts at around 5:30. There is separated house in our facility with no shower room. The volunteers can stay there and use shower room in main house.

Fue nuestra primera experiencia como voluntarios y no puede haber sido mejor. Estamos agradecidos con Yoko - San y su familia por habernos recibido con tanta amabilidad y confianza.
Las varias tareas que hicimos fueron agradables y muy interesantes de realizar, Yoko-San siempre estuvo bien predispuesta para indicarnos o darnos una mano con lo que necesitáramos.
La comida que preparaban era excelente y fue una hermosa experiencia haber compartido tantos momentos con ellos.
Nos llevamos buenos recuerdos jugando con los niños!

A memorable and cherished experience staying with an amazing and lovely family in the Japanese countryside. They were very kind, helpful and respectful. The task were plentiful and rewarding. The children were full of energy and very inquisitive.

We are very grateful for our week here! The family were welcoming and ensured we never went without anything, and provided home-cooked meals that allowed us to try lots of new things, whilst also taking into account what we liked! We had a great time with the children, and enjoyed bonding over Pokemon. The tasks were varied, such as collecting chestnuts, planting vegetables and weeding; we worked hard, but it was rewarding! We even got to enjoy an outing with the family on the weekend, which was fun! We definitely recommend for a truly authentic experience. ありがとうございます!!

I spent two weeks with Yoko san and her family in Fukuroi. I was looking for a short getaway to nature, and got what exactly what I wanted. The work depends on the season, but the tasks are very clear and you can take your own time completing them. The kids are full of energy and fun to play with, and I especially enjoyed the delicious home cooked meals by Oharu san and Yoko san. I can recommend this experience for those who are looking to experience what it’s like to live in rural Japan.

I've just spent a lovely week with this wonderful family. I was given a list of tasks that needed to be done for the week and then was able to execute them at my own pace which I really liked. Some tasks were collecting bamboo shoots, stacking firewood, weeding in the garden etc. All were fun and rewarding. The house is in a beautiful area of the country with tea and rice fields all over, a great location for nice walks. The home cooked japanese food I received everyday was delicious! The family was welcoming and the kids were hilarious. Btw I hope Gin-chan enjoyed her ice cream bday cake!!
