5 Elements Hostel Leipzig

If you want to really experience Leipzig, our Hostel is the right place for you. Clubs and Bars are really close to us and our staff can show you all of the hidden treasures our City has to offer. We are famous for our Zoo and we have loads of beautiful and swimmable lakes around the city! We have tons of festivals in our area starting with our famous Wave Gotik Meet up, and the huge Christmas Market.

Our Staff is like a really big and weird family. We welcome everyone and all of us are excited to meet new people. We all come from different backgrounds, so don't be shy :). If you should ever have a problem, you can come to us at any time!

I stayed at 5 Elements Leipzig for 3 months this past winter. There are only 6 volunteers in the hostel at a time, which I loved! I got to know everyone else who volunteered so well, and we all lived in an apartment with a kitchen, bathroom, and rooftop terrace. The terrace also has a grill which we used to cook bratwurst!! The hostel staff and managers were all kind and welcoming, and we sometimes got off our 4 hour shift early :) Leipzig is a great city with rich culture in all of its neighborhoods—lots of live music, cheap beer, and clubs. Highly recommended. Period, done, 5 stars.

5 elements was like a dream! My month there is filled with so many beautiful memories - the hostel, the people, the city - all together made it an unforgettable experience. Hannah is wonderful and makes you feel welcome immediately. The hours and work itself are a breeze and are extremely worth it for what you get in return - a great breakfast each morning and a cosy place to stay right in the centre of Leipzig! I couldn’t recommend volunteering at this hostel more, I loved every second :))

I had here in Leipzig my first volunteering experience and it was just perfect! The terms were respected. We had our own volunteers dorms that were more like an apartment with our own kitchen and even a roof top. Hannah and the other staff were welcoming, super friendly and always very considering. I would highly recommend this experience and hopefully come back to visit my self:)

I ended up loving my time volunteering at this hostel way more than I expected! The hostel is super cozy and comfortable and the location is amazing!! right in Leipzig’s city center, which looks straight out of a fairytale, especially during Christmas time. Also the volunteer group was such a vibe.. funny, sweet and chaotic in the best way. The staff is super kind and understanding and the work was exactly as agreed, easy to manage, and they were super respectful with schedules. I’m genuinely thankful for the time I spent here and all the memories I made. I would DEFINITELY recommend it <3

My experience at 5 Elements Leipzig was amazing and it’s something i’ll remember for a long time, it was super fun meeting everyone and making friends, the location was superb all the shops were 5 mins walking distance. the work was super chill and simple nothing to crazy. i would highly recommend this place to everyone and who wants to make friends and have fun!
