La experiencia con la organización y con toda la gente involucrada en el proyecto fue muy positiva y la consideramos una de las mejores experiencias de voluntariado que hemos realizado. Mi estadía en Casa cahuita fue espectacular, es un nuevo proyecto que están haciendo en Cahuita. Me sentí super cómodo, todos los acuerdos se cumplieron. Por lejos nuestro mejor voluntariado! Casa Cahuita son unas cabañas en Cahuita Costa Rica, dónde vas a poder conectarte con la naturaleza! Muy cerca del parque nacional con millones de animales! Respecto al voluntariado es hermoso.. consiste en hacer patrullaje por la mañana y por la noche por la playa , cuidando los nidos de las tortugas, y aprendiendo muchísimo de ellas ❤️ Federico y Beate , sus dueños son súper amorosos y flexibles. Tambien abiertos a nuevas ideas ! Ana , la cocinera nos preparaba el Desayuno y cena con mucho amor. 100 % recomendado ❤️ pura vida 🇨🇷🇨🇷

Los días que pase en Casa Caribe han nutrido mi alma. Aunque al principio no entendía bien cómo funcionaba el proyecto, poco a poco todo fue cobrando sentido. Trabaje mi capacidad de resiliencia y adaptación y colaboré en proyectos en los que el impacto era real. Una mención especial para Leo y mis chicas de la cocina Gladis y Yomari, sin ellos mis días en Puerto Viejo no habrían sido lo mismo. Gracias a Beate, a Fede y a todos por la experiencia.

The group will stay in comfortable accommodations featuring 10 rooms, each equipped with two bunk beds and a private bathroom. There's a welcoming common area for shared meals, a fully equipped kitchen, a refreshing pool, and a dedicated yoga shala. Travelers will also have access to a community room stocked with games and books. On-site facilities include language lessons and a recycling workshop, providing a complete and engaging environment. The accommodation is designed for travelers to share with project employees or partners, fostering a strong sense of community.

Refeições
Meals at the project are a highlight, designed to be both delicious and nutritious. Breakfast is served buffet-style, offering a variety of options including toast, fresh fruits, butter, cream cheese, marmalade, hummus, granola, homemade yogurt, and oat milk. Some mornings feature pancakes or traditional pinto with scrambled eggs. Lunches include options like chicken rice, pasta salad, or spaghetti with tomato sauce. Dinners vary, with examples such as chili con carne with coleslaw, yucca pie with salad, or breaded fish/eggplant with rice and vegetables. The fantastic kitchen team prepares all meals, and they can accommodate vegan, vegetarian, and lactose-free dietary needs.
Orientações de chegada
Travelers will be picked up at the Puerto Viejo Bus Station. Arrivals are usually between 10-11 am, but the pick-up time can be flexible. The person responsible for the pick-up will be easily identifiable by a "Planet Conservation" sign or shirt. Travelers will be taken directly from the pickup point to the project accommodation, with no layovers in other cities. Upon arrival, a 30-minute introduction will be provided, covering general information, house rules, and safety advice, followed by a house tour and room allocation.
