Support our Halfway House for Boys
The experience
We are looking for volunteers to assist at our Halfway House. As a Volunteer at Lifesong Kenya you support us and the boys during our daily life. And accompany the boys during daily tasks and activities like cooking, sports and games. Your Tasks can involve teaching about life skills and languages. You can also assist in our projects like bicycle repair, upcycling wine bottles or candle making.
What you offer
18 hours of help per week
Teaching Languages:
Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.
Cooking:
Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.
Teaching Sports:
Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Description:
Volunteers are kindly asked to contribute a nominal fee to help cover their accommodation expenses. This contribution assists in maintaining a comfortable living space, ensuring that essential amenities and meals are provided, and covering utility costs, such as water and electricity.

You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Certificate:
Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.
Fast Internet Access:
High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Beginner English
Between 18 and 80 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Rules
We ask volunteers to maintain honesty, integrity and responsibility when engaging in our programs.
Please do NOT give money to our boys, their families or in the community. The same applies to giving money to staff, interns or volunteers either to appreciate or reward their service at our organization. Should you feel compelled to give anything, please coordinate with your volunteer coordinator who will advise on the right course of action, this helps us in holding each other accountable.
