The experience

We are a lively hostel in the heart of Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, looking for motivated, outgoing people to join our team! :)
You’ll welcome guests, check them in and out, be their main contact, and assist with bookings. If you love connecting with people and want to be part of a vibrant, fun atmosphere, this is the perfect opportunity.
Enjoy the laid-back beach lifestyle, surf some of Costa Rica's best waves, and soak in the jungle vibes. :)

What you offer

32 hours of help per week

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.

What you get

3 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Drinks: Get discounts for drinks and beverages from our bar.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Fluent English or Beginner Spanish

Between 18 and 35 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

As a team member, you’ll have the most direct interactions with our guests, helping create an unforgettable experience by spreading your positive energy. You’ll be their first point of contact for any inquiries or questions, and you'll be responsible for organizing tours, surf classes, and shuttles. When working at the bar, you’ll not only serve our hostel guests but also engage with the local community, mixing drinks and maintaining a lively, welcoming atmosphere.

Activities & Shift

Start your day off right! Enjoy a coffee in the morning, take a relaxing beach walk, or unwind by the pool before your shift.

Shift details:

Our shifts are typically 7 to 8 hours long.

Morning shifts start at 8 AM, where you’ll open the hostel and reception, and finish by 3 PM.
Afternoon shifts begin at 3 PM, with the responsibility of closing up the hostel by 11 PM.
Bar shifts run from 3 PM to 11 PM as well.

When you're off the clock, feel free to play some pool at the bar with our local guests, join in on our events, and fully immerse yourself in the local lifestyle.
