Bring an eco-village to life in Koh Tao, Thailand
The experience
Volunteers at The Lighthouse help us grow an eco-focused space by building tent platforms, shaping garden paths, painting, cleaning, and supporting breakfast prep. Days are simple and hands-on, with time to enjoy nature and connect with our small community. We value kindness, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Your work helps create a more sustainable and welcoming space for guests.

Program Details
This volunteer program is for travelers who want to take part in building a small eco space on a hilltop in Koh Tao. The project mixes practical work with simple living. Volunteers help shape the land, set up structures for guests, and keep the space welcoming. You’ll stay in a quiet natural setting, share meals, and be part of the daily rhythm of a developing retreat.
Activities & Shift
Most days begin around 8:30 with about an hour of light work before a communal breakfast. After we eat, volunteers jump into village projects that bring the place to life — shaping garden paths, tending the chicken coop, painting, or building small structures. Some days shift toward guest experience: guiding nature walks on our trails, taking people snorkeling, or capturing moments for Instagram. Shifts are flexible — if mornings aren’t your thing, you can support afternoon tasks like check-ins, online work, or hosting guests. What matters most is that you’re growing through the experience and helping the village evolve in a meaningful way.
