The experience

We live in Rødby, Denmark 🇩🇰 and need a kind helper to join our little family! You’ll help with my son Vikingur, keep the house clean and organized, help with cooking and cleaning, and sometimes assist at our cozy café. Mostly, it’s about caring for Vikingur and sharing daily life with us. 💛
We live in a tourist paradise near Lalandia, Knuthenborg Safari Park, and beautiful beaches — places you can enjoy with us or on your own!

What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Restaurants: Get discounts at nearby restaurants.

Discounts on Drinks: Get discounts for drinks and beverages from our bar.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Program Details

We’re a family of three. Volunteers help with daily family life — mostly keeping an eye on my son Vikingur, helping with cleaning, organizing, cooking, and supporting at home and sometimes at our cozy café. You’ll have your own space, shared meals, and time to explore local nature and small-town Danish life.

Activities & Shift

Activities & Shifts

Tasks include:
• Helping care for Vikingur (playing, spending time, small routines)
• Cleaning and organizing the house
• Helping with cooking and cleaning after meals
• Assisting at the café — tidying, serving, or covering short hours maybe ;)

Usually 6 hours a day, 5 days a week, with flexible timing depending on family and café needs.

Rules

Please be respectful, tidy, and reliable. We appreciate good communication and kindness. No smoking indoors. Keep common spaces clean, and treat Vikingur and our home with care. We like to share meals and enjoy a peaceful, friendly atmosphere.
