The city of Braşov was very charming and beautiful. The hostel is located in the old town and is close to many shops, restaurants and bars. When arriving at the hostel we were greeted by Jared, he really helped us to settle in. We later found out that Jared is just a volunteer who had to take on more responsibility as there's no permanent member of the team. The owners were hardly ever present and didn't seem to care about the hostel or their volunteers, I don't think they even knew who I was despite being there for 2 weeks which made it hard to motivate myself to work for them.

This was my first time volunteering at a hostel. The job was pretty easy. Working at the reception was new for me and a good experience. I wish the introduction had been clearer, so I would have learned faster. The managers Sorina and Jozef are lovely people. They also have another company to take care of, so sometimes it felt like we had too much responsibility. They did help us if we had any questions. The hostel is on the main street. Brasov is a wonderful city with a lot to see. It is also a perfect starting point if you want to hike and explore the surroundings. I reccomand you to go!

Brasov is a charming place with lots to do not only there but also around the cities in the Transylvania region, incredible for those who want to be close to nature and still enjoy all the history that the country has to offer. The hostel is extremely well located and the facilities are comfortable (I was there on fall). The work is also very chill and fair. I volunteered there at a especific moment that there were some management problems that cause some communication issues, but in general I recommend that you get to know Romania! Thank you! :)

The hostel was a welcoming environment, and the city of Brasov was beautiful and fun to explore with the other volunteers who were amazing. However the change of management could've been handled better, regarding the volunteers and resulted in confusion. Overall it was a lovely place to stay, and had lots of great hiking routes !

Brasov is such a lovely city. Lots of character and a great location for city and nature. What was shown online is a bit different than what we got. It felt a little mismanaged, and at times it was hard to get in contact with the owners, so there was a bit more responsibility on us volunteers. Other than that, it's a cool spot, and pretty easy cleaning duties .

Overall, I enjoyed my time at the hostel! Bogdan and Alina are absolutely wonderful people. They were very accommodating and flexible with dates/ days off and were always available to answer questions. Most of my shifts were reception work which was quite easy and quick to pick up.

The hostel is in a great location in the middle of old town. Bogdan and Alina were hard working and fantastic at communicating with the volunteers. The work was very straight forward and easy to do. They provided a work schedule during my time there which helped me plan what to do on my vacation days and around my shifts. They rotated my shifts, so I wasn't always cleaning in the afternoon, but sometimes doing reception in the morning or at night. The volunteers do have access to a kitchen for those curious. The volunteers stayed in the attic which got really hot throughout the summer.

The work was super easy and the hours were short. Alina and Bogdan were welcoming and always contactable. The hostel is aging in some areas but the experience as a volunteer was great. Brasov is a beautiful and well-located to see the rest of Transylvania.
