The experience
The Solomundo program at Kids Saving the Rainforest is looking for volunteers to help with gardening and maintaining green areas, caring for farm animals, assisting with construction and general maintenance tasks, and supporting composting and basic waste management. This is hands-on, outdoor work ideal for volunteers who enjoy physical tasks and want to contribute directly to a conservation project in Costa Rica.
What you offer
32 hours of help per week
Farming:
Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.
Cleaning:
Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Building & Repairing:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
What you get
2 days off per week
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Over 18 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Key Activities:
- Care for farm animals including goats, a milk cow, chickens, and more
- Volunteers will assist with construction tasks to help maintain and improve the project's facilities.
- Learn bioactive gardening and regenerative farming techniques
- Assist with planting, harvesting, composting, and soil enrichment
- Help create products such as teas, preserves, or plant-based goods made on-site
Activities & Shift
Tuesday-Saturday breakfast at 6:30, the project day starts at 7am
