The hostel is a pure gem of hostel right in the middle of canggu town. It's a really clean, cozy social hostel where you get the chance to meet and talk to new people every day. The tasks were pretty easy and the work was really nice to do. Our manager Benjamin is a super nice person, and will always try to meet your needs. you can easily talk to him, as well as the rest of the staff there. the Indonesian staff Eva, Maria everyone are all special people there. you will feel lucky to know and get in touch with them. I would recommend this volunteering exp to everyone for sure. 🫶

The hostel is like a home away from home! The staff, management, and atmosphere were so wonderful and the job was very easy. All I really had to do was get friends that I made to leave positive reviews of the hostel, post instagram stories, create a little bit of content for social media, host hostel events, and send daily reports of all of the above. The new hostel manager Benjamin was so kind and a great person to work for (previous bad reviews of this experience were under a different manager). The accommodation is also very clean, comfortable, and conveniently located.

I had such a great experience volunteering as the yoga instructor at the hostel (I even extended my stay here)! The whole team are so lovely and especially when I needed to go to hospital they were all very supportive! It's one of the nicest and cleanest hostels I've come across and great vibes all around. The yoga shala is also beautiful, overlooking the rice field and it's a great opportunity to teach a range of vinyasa classes to every ability! There is for sure a pressure to get 10/10 reviews which can at times feel a little inauthentic, but it is genuinely an incredible hostel! 🌟

I had an amazing time being included with the hostel family! The staff is absolutely amazing and so nice and welcoming. I spent over 5 weeks at the hostel and it flew by! I love how organized the volunteer position is with set shifts and scheduling and the shift times vary. The only thing that adds pressure to the position is getting reviews weekly, as there is a time and place to ask guests for reviews and its not always ideal during a specific shift time. Other than that, I would totally recommend volunteering here and just be honest and open with communication if any issues or questions arise!

Awesome experience and one of the best hostels I ever stayed in. Super clean. Plenty of facilities, free breakfast/yoga, big pool, and laundry service close by. Fun yet relaxed environment. Meet plenty of travelers and easy to make friends. Staff is very nice and helpful. Different activities going on daily/ nightly. An awesome experience. Thank you the hostel !

The local staff members are the sweetest and most caring people EVER. Thank you Fedy, Arya, Kadek, Eddy, Farhan, Yulia, Maria, Hendra and the new trainee from reception (i'm not sure how to write her name)!! I truly became friends with them and they made me feel like home. the hostel truly has the best customer base. It's not a party hostel but rather a social coworking hostel so a lot of the guest stay longterm or are returning guests. I made a second family from the guests and there was always someone taking care of me (the guests are usually on average 24-30 where as I am 21).

As a new yoga teacher, it was a great opportunity to teach and learn. Each day, at least 9-15 people joined the yoga class, which allowed me to gain confidence and experience in teaching. the hostel team was amazing—everything was well-organized, from tasks to the work schedule—making it easy for me to enjoy exploring Bali. I would totally recommend this place for volunteering if you're a yoga teacher!

The hostel is beautiful and the local staff are kind, but there's no real team vibe—everyone works alone. If you don't get perfect 10/10 reviews in your first week, you're out. I had a 9.4 on Hostelworld and was still let go. The contract says roles will be “re-evaluated,” but that just means fired. It's also hard to get reviews due to the setup. A guest told me someone gets dismissed almost every week because of this. I wish a better communication and also maybe help people a bit if they're doing not as good in the beginning.

Reviews are part of the job, but beyond that, you were unable to effectively promote our events and had difficulty bringing people together. Sometimes, a role simply isn’t the right fit, and we understand that. Instead of focusing on management, we hope you can reflect on your experience and identify areas for improvement. I loved my time at the hostel. I grew so much as a teacher, learned new skills, and even got to lead puppy yoga! Salome is amazing! There was a bit of pressure from upper management around reviews and constantly collecting them from guests that sometimes affected the atmosphere, however this is something I'm sure can be relaxed over time as the hostel grows. Overall, I'm super grateful for the experience—perfect if you're looking to develop your yoga teaching in a beautiful setting.
