It was a wonderful experience. The hostel itself is very welcoming and safe for travelers and volunteers. But for me, the real plus of this volunteering is the entire hostel team. They are extremely welcoming and friendly, always there if needed, both at work and outside of work. It's a big family in which you are always welcome. This volunteering was one of the most enjoyable I have ever done and I will return without hesitation.

The hostel was such a great place for my first Worldpackers experience! Everyone on the staff was so welcoming and accommodating. As a volunteer it has everything you could want, you work for five hours a day chatting with guests and working the bar in the garden. The hostel itself is newer and clean and they provide free water and laundry. During events like songkran they provided extra meals for us to make sure we had everything taken care of so we could provide a fun guest experience :) if you are looking for a good mix between socializing but not 24/7 khao San road craziness, the hostel is #1

I had an amazing time volunteering at Area 81! TOH is the man and brings everyone together, The vibe here is so warm, welcoming, and fun—it truly feels like a home away from home. The staff is incredibly kind and supportive, and the energy of the place brings travelers from all over together like family. The work was fulfilling, the location is perfect, and the common areas make it easy to connect with others. I learned a lot, made great friends, and created unforgettable memories. The experience at the hostel was totally great. We got a clean bed, free breakfast, with everything needed. Toh truly cared and made sure we had great time. The task was easy, we worked 5 hours at the bar everyday, mainly sold drinks and made cocktails. I had very good time with all the guests, and everyone was welcomed. I truly thank Toh for this experience and I totally recommend this.

It was a great experience, I recommend it! The host was very attentive and communicated with us in person, always making sure we were comfortable and had a good experience. The beds are very comfortable and the place is clean. Thank you Toh-San and staff! 😊

It is a really great experience in Bangkok, Toh is an awesome person and he is always taking care of the volunteers. If you apply, take in count the breakfast is simple with some bread, ceral and juice. But if you need something bigger, food is really cheap around, so it is not a reason to skip the experience here. Job is simple and you can always find a way to help with the growth of the hostel that is new there. Coming back in April because it is really cool. See you soon Toh!

My experience at area 81 was really nice. Toh is the best host ever and really makes you feel like home. The work was easy and really flexible if you wanted to change times. Toh really went out of his way to make sure we got everything we need and to make sure the volunteers were bonding together. Thankyou so much, i've hax 2 great weeks at area 81! :))
