Warrior Training in a 300 Yr Old Mountain House

My experience here was more incredible than I ever could have imagined. The atmosphere in the house is so warm and welcoming, I made special connections with every volunteer I met and left feeling like I had a second family and home. It's mostly up to you what you do at the house other than a few easy daily tasks, and there is lots of free time to explore the surrounding nature and embrace the peaceful solitude of the mountains. Steve and Saph are wonderful hosts and always a joy to chat with, I will always be grateful to them for giving me this opportunity. I will be back for sure :)

I don't know what I expected going into this but I definitely loved staying at the Center! The tasks were easy and we usually helped each other out especially with cooking and cleaning afterwards. the Center is a really great place to relax and connect with amazing people from all over the world. Steve and Saph were lovely and really interesting people to get to know (in a good way of course). I'm gonna miss this place and the people so much!

This place has transformed my perspective on community and mindfulness. I would recommend staying for at least three weeks because there is an adjustment period. At first I left a little awkward, but around the second week I stared having genuine care for the others around me and the community I get to be a part of. I am forever grateful.

Our stay at the casa was wonderful! As the name suggests, we played with the dogs almost every day and went on great hikes and yoga classes! The view, the atmosphere, everything. You have to experience it!

The month I spend at the Center was one of the best experiences I've had in my life. I learned a lot about myself and had a lot of personal development and growth. You can go there if you want some change in your life, like I did, or go there just to relax, it really depends on you. For me the experience to live in a community with mostly amazing people, there is always an exception to the rule, and to undergo that journey with them together was priceless. The history Steve is also an amazing guy and I appreciate that he made it possible for me to be there and enjoy my time.

This might sound exaggerated but this experience was so much more than I expected. Thanks to the Center, I now got family from all over the world. Steve & Saph are inspiring people, very encouraging and beyond lovely! Besides a few everyday tasks you have a lot of free time to do whatever you want ... connect with the people, go on a hike, join Kim's free Yoga class, jump in the pool, read a book, sit by the fire or just dance and sing together in the kitchen after movie night :) I could go on for ages raving about this place but to sum it up... don't miss out on this adventure!

I am very happy about the time I was able to spend in the Center. The tasks are quick and easy to complete. In your free time you get to know great people and do great things. You can also take part in free yoga courses, which are very good. Steve and Saphira are nice people and are always there when you need help.

Steve is more than just a host; he's the director of organized chaos. With a blend of street wisdom and bar philosophy, he's created a space where productivity is measured in laughter and human connections. Daily chores bring together strangers from around the world. Cleaning can spark debates on sustainability, while cooking turns into a lesson in international diplomacy. You'll come for the volunteering, stay for the community, and leave questioning modern life. Warning: May cause a severe reevaluation of your life priorities.
