My time at the Center will truly be missed. Jay and Silvia made me feel right at home from the moment I made it to the house. The chores were very easy and you had a lot of free time to enjoy the nature. This was such a life changing experience for me as it was my first time in Europe. I made a ton of friends along the way and gained many skills. I came with some knowledge in BJJ but kept an open mind and was able to learn and train a bunch of different types of martial arts. Only word of advice I can give is have the ears to listen! So much to learn at casa de the Center!

I had a life-changing experience at the Center and it's all because of the environment that Jay and Silvia provide for volunteers. Each day, you can expect to participate in some kind of fun group activity, be surrounded by an abundance of nature, and enjoy delicious home-cooked meals. This experience is perfect for anyone who's looking to gain new friends, martial arts training, time spent unwinding and reflecting, and a truly unique experience in an off-grid home. The work itself is very minimal, so you can enjoy each and every day here. This place will forever be in my heart! <3

My stay at the Center was just great. Silvia & Jay are so welcoming and friendly people, I felt so comfortable around them and the other volunteers. They also made sure that you have a perfect stay there. The tasks were pretty easy and didn't take long at all. It's optional to go to the trainings, but it's fun, especially the archery. The nature around is just breathtaking, I can't say much more!! Tysm for everything Silvia and Jay :)

Staying with Jay and Silvia was an amazing opportunity to reconnect with ourselves and physically work on our bodies. My girlfriend and I knew very little martial arts coming into the Center but Jay and everyone else staying were very supportive and patient with us. We practiced boxing, wrestling, jiu jitsu, muay Thai, and judo. Every practice started with a run in the morning which helped set the pace for the training which would be right after or later in the afternoon. Household duties were shared equally amongst everyone. Jump into it fully and you'll enjoy it. Also lots of cats!

It was my first experience with Worldpackers and the best time I've had in my life so far. Silvia and Jay are wonderful hosts and you immediately feel at home, like you're part of the family. You meet lots of other travelers. We all had a lot of fun together and exercised, played games, or just talked almost every day. The training was very varied and I really enjoyed it. I would love to go back there again. The surroundings are very peaceful and surrounded by nature, which I really liked. You can forget all the stress of everyday life and time just flies by.

I had a wonderful time at the Center. Jay and Sylvia are lovely people and da phenomenal job at creating a fun, relaxed, and welcoming environment. The work was very easy, expect to have a lot of free time :) The house is surrounded by beautiful nature and breathtaking views. Endless things to do here. I really enjoyed the martial arts training and learned a lot from Jay and other volunteers. Was very very lucky to share these 2 weeks with such beautiful human beings. I fell in love with this place and really hope to come back in the future! Highly recommended to anyone :)

I had such an amazing time here. Jay and Silvia are the kind of hosts who make you feel instantly welcome and their positive energy really brings everyone together. The place has such a peaceful atmosphere, surrounded by nature, with lots of space to relax and train. I loved the activities and especially getting to meet so many interesting, like-minded people. I left feeling recharged and grateful, and I know I'll carry this experience with me.

Unlike any work exchange I've tried before! Usually, the volunteer is there to serve the host in some way, but here, it felt like the other way around. The work was minimal and just basic maintenance stuff (cooking, cleaning, etc.), and Jay devoted so much of his time to teaching us all kinds of martial arts practices that would otherwise cost loads of money to learn. Jay is a very gifted cook and the standard for food quality is high. I ate healthier and tastier than I have in memory. I applied for two weeks here, but it wasn't long before I asked for an extension. Highly recommend!
