Warrior Training in a 300 Yr Old Mountain House
The experience
Train/Coach/Learn the ways of a warrior with Jay! Daily life here would include martial arts lessons & fitness training 2-3 times per day, deep talks and shared philosophical ideas, and plenty of free time to relax and take in the beauty of your surroundings. Whether you're interested in learning martial arts or have prior knowledge / experience you're willing to share, this is the place for you to comfortably express the power within you!
What you offer
10 hours of help per week
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Teaching Sports:
Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Description:
Why 10€ a day? It basically covers the cost of the water we use here, as well as the food we buy in order to provide you the best home-cooked meals you'll have ever experienced! It also helps to fund the project in terms of upgrading the dojo, opening the gym to the locals, etc.

You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

You can use our laundry room freely.

You can use our bikes any time you want.

We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

You can take part in any of our therapeutic activities for free.

Intermediate English or Beginner Spanish
Between 18 and 35 years old

Program Details
Martial arts have proven to be the most transformational healing mechanism I've ever known. As a volunteer, you'll have a few options of how you can be helpful in joining this experience.
1. Training with feedback.
I'll be teaching the martial arts I've learned over the past 10 years of my experience ( boxing, wrestling, and BJJ) in order to keep bringing the knowledge to those who seek it. In return, I ask only for feedback on how the experience has had an effect on you.
2. Coaching.
I've reach a moment in life that has inspired me to take my martial arts journey to the next level. If you happen to have experience in ANY martial art whatsoever, I ask that you share your knowledge with me in exchange for a special deal in return.
3. Documentation.
As this is a unique approach to the learning / implementing the ways of a modern day warrior, I find it important to document the journey along the way. How? Whether by journal entry, video footage, or podcast interview, it would be an honor to see how this experience shapes you. Documentation will help to see how I can improve and continue to share this experience with those who seek it in the future.
The ultimate goal here is to share knowledge and wisdom with those who know / wish to experience the power and expression of their inner warrior. To learn alternate ways of healing form trauma, anxiety, depression, etc. through a more healthy, grounded manner.
Activities & Shift
Aside from training, other daily tasks will be included in our weekly schedule of basic house chores (cooking, cleaning, etc.). This helps us to collectively maintain the 300 year old house together.
