Program Details

PET SITTING NEEDED FIRST WEEEK OF JANUARY. We’re restoring a beautiful old Georgian rectory in the peaceful village of Llanfynydd, North Wales and need help with general tasks such as household help, landscaping and cooking. Also help caring for our two gorgeous kittens. In return for 20-25 hours a week of help, you'll get good food, a private room, and the chance to explore one of the UK's most beautiful regions with lifts/car provided on your days off. The atmosphere is relaxed, respectful, and full of good humour. Historic cities of Chester and Liverpool are close by. If we’re lucky enough to find a volunteer with experience and skills in renovation or labouring that would be extremely helpful.

Activities & Shift

You’ll help around 4/5 hours a day, 5 days a week. Tasks will depend on what stage the renovation is at but can include painting, sanding, lifting and general labour. You’ll always work alongside the builder or host and will never be asked to do anything unsafe or beyond your comfort level. Help needed with housekeeping and cooking too. If you have experience with housekeeping and preparing simple meals, that’s a bonus. We have two gorgeous kittens and you’ll need to help with feeding - and playing! We’re flexible with start times and always make sure you have two full days off each week. There will normally be at least one other volunteer here during your stay.
