Coming into this Worldpackers experience I was super excited. Unfortunately, I did not have the best experience due passive aggressiveness from many volunteers and sometimes the hosts. However, the hosts made an effort to invite us to their gatherings, take us out into nature, and show us the best places in town for dancing/culture. I am super appreciative of my time here. I learned a lot about myself, food, and experience the culture of Puebla. For any non-native Spanish speaking volunteers, definitely practice Spanish before coming here and perhaps ask for the menu to study beforehand.

Thank you for your feedback, TK. I would only like to clarify about this “passive aggressive” situations, as you call them, from your hosts as I can guarantee you it never occurred during non-working hours, and you won’t let me lie as we know we shared some good moments with laughs, joy and of course respect; in my humble opinion I think you are confusing this “passive aggressiveness” with the working culture; you are still young and you have so much left to discover about physical/manual labor, specially in a busy kitchen like ours; we both belong to different generations and I understand it as I was young too and I didn’t know how to work either; and I’m still learning everyday. So I hope you don’t take this comment personally as I believe you are a great person with so much joy and good intentions. Nevertheless I apologise if in any situation I was too rude during working hours when I ask you to do something as my intention was not to disrespect you. Geo and I wish you all the best for your upcoming projects and a prosperous life!

La experiencia fue muy grata , me sirvió mucho para conocer algo de la cultura poblana. Los anfitriones amables y muy buena onda , nos ofrecieron actividades que sirvieron de ayuda . Estuvo bueno .

Mi estancia fue muy grata, era mi primer voluntariado y tanto Geo como Guille me hicieron sentir cómodo en mi estancia y las activases que realicé, fue una experiencia interesante y tuve la oportunidad de convivir y conocer lugares locales tanto con ellos como con personal del voluntariado, muy recomendado aplicar con ellos

Fue una gran experiencia !! Guile y Geo fueron grandes anfitriones, me divertí mucho con ellos y me dieron la oportunidad de aprender algo totalmente diferente para mi que es la cocina, también tuve la oportunidad de conocer otros voluntarios y trabajadores de Cosme Tortas ... todos fueron grandes personas con actitud positiva, volvería a ir a la casa =)

Fue una aventura muy enriquecedora desde lo humano,aprendizajes, inclusivo, cultural. Cada uno del “equipo” familiar aportó y contuvo, Guille y Georgina son muy buenas personas, empaticos y solidarios, como así también el resto de la flia. Sin dudas recomiendo 100% este voluntariado.

Experiencia muy destacable. Las tareas de mantenimiento a las que estaba asignado fueron muy concisas y disfrutables, siendo la carga de trabajo muy cómoda y satisfactoria. Paco, un trabajador del lugar y designado a al sostenimiento, muy amable, ayudaba a dirigir los pasos a seguir si alguna duda surgía. La acomodación estupenda haciendo la estancia acogedora. Los anfititriones Guilebaldo y Georgina hicieron mi estancia muy agradable, siendo muy amigables, cercanos y respetuosos. Los compañeros de voluntariado cabe decir que estupendamente la relación también. Conclusión, un formidable lugar.

Hermoso Puebla, hermoso su centro y que rica comida. Es un privilegio estar en una la casa tan cerca del centro y con tanta historia, fui muy bien recibido, me integre exelente con Guille, Ismael y Gina ni siquiera queria dejarme ir, la pasamos bastante bien son gente amable y mantienen límites claros dentro del trabajo y las facilidades que tenemos. Definitivamente volvere, aunque no sea como voluntario.
