Program Details
As a volunteer, you will help us care for our biodynamic vegetable garden and other green areas of the project. We offer food and accommodation in exchange for about 25 hours of help per week (5 hours/day, 5 days/week). We value respect, collaboration, and honest communication. We’ll work together on some tasks, and others may be done independently, depending on your comfort and experience.
Activities & Shift
Our garden is one of the hearts of our project. It nourishes us — and also the children and families who are part of our educational community.
We follow biodynamic and regenerative principles, working in harmony with the land and the seasons. You’ll be helping us in the daily care of the garden and surrounding plants.
This includes:
Planting seeds and transplanting seedlings
Watering trees, vegetables, and flowers in the evening
Harvesting vegetables in the morning
Managing the basic irrigation system
Propagating plants by cuttings
Maintaining paths and compost
We love being in the garden ourselves — it’s a space of peace and presence. Most tasks will be done together, but we also appreciate your ability to work with autonomy when needed.
Shifts
You’ll help about 5 hours per day, mostly in the early morning and/or late afternoon, depending on the weather and the needs of the plants.
Example schedule:
🌄 8:00–11:00: harvesting, planting, maintenance
🌞 Free time during the hot hours (lunch, siesta, beach, reading…)
🌅 18:00–20:00: watering trees and flowers, checking irrigation system
You’ll have two free days per week, flexible depending on weather and shared rhythm.
Rules
Treat the garden and plants with care
Keep shared spaces clean and tools tidy after use
No smoking in or near garden/children’s areas
We live simply: no fridge, compost toilet, and a lot of open air
Be open to share, help when needed, and respect the rhythm of family life
Ask when in doubt, and enjoy the beauty of the process 🌱
