Program Details
Welcome to our little experimental paradise! We're a small family (with two wild-hearted kids) living off-grid in northern Sardinia. Life here flows with the rhythm of the sun, the moon, and the barefoot steps of children.
We’re looking for volunteers to help with: • Gardening, harvesting, and seed-saving 🌱
• DIY infrastructure (fencing, compost toilet, tool shed) 🔨
• Helping in the kitchen or with the kids 🍲👶
• Creative touches – art, woodwork, natural building 🎨
✨ What to expect:
Basic but beautiful infrastructure (tents, compost toilets, outdoor showers)
Wild animals around (yes, even mice, bats, and Sardinian wild boars – small ones!) 🐗
Lots of time outdoors, good food, and deep community moments
A real sense of connection: to the land, to yourself, to others
💚 This real life in nature, full of learning and joy. If that excites you more than it scares you… you’re welcome here.
🧡 We’re not looking for professionals — just people with curiosity, joy, and a bit of experience with tools (or a strong willingness to learn).
This is a place to build not only with wood, but with presence, intention and care.
We expect clear communication, mutual respect, and shared care for the spaces and tools.
We’re a family-based community project — flexibility, kindness, and a sense of humor are welcome! :)
Activities & Shift
🪚 Current and upcoming projects:
Building a small wooden chicken house (hexagonal!) 🐔
Outdoor shower structure 🚿
Shelters for tools and storage
Finishing touches to our compost toilets
Dry stone wall repairs 🪨
Creative upcycling and artistic touches 🎨
Stone masonry and small wall
🌞 Working hours & daily rhythm
Life here follows the rhythm of nature — and so does the work.
🌿 We don't have strict "shifts," but we do have a daily flow based on what needs to be done, the weather, and everyone's energy. Most of the help is needed in the morning (early, before it gets too hot) and sometimes again in the late afternoon, especially during the summer.
🛠️ Tasks are shared with kindness and flexibility. We host volunteers to co-create. though there will be plenty of time for rest, sea, and sharing too 🌊✨
⏰ Weekends are not guaranteed rest days — we try to create space for relaxing and exploring, but the land and the life we live don’t really follow a calendar. Some days are light, others more intense. We all listen, adapt, and communicate openly.
🧡 What matters most is presence, initiative, and willingness to be part of this shared experience, not clocking hours.
Rules
We live simply, and expect everyone to respect this rhythm:
Keep common spaces clean and tidy
Handle tools and materials with care — always ask if unsure
No smoking indoors (and be mindful around children)
Compost toilet: follow instructions (we’ll show you how)
No loud music unless shared (we often play live music or sing together!)
Be open, honest, and speak up if something doesn’t feel right
If you can’t join a shift, let us know — we’re human :)
Come with a good heart — this is a home, not a construction site
