The experience
In Malawi, mental health is still a topic that’s often misunderstood or left unspoken. Many people face anxiety, depression, or trauma, yet few have access to the support or education they need. This is where you come in.
We’re a small community-based organization working to break the stigma, raise awareness, and provide support for mental wellbeing especially among young people, women, and rural families.
What you offer
17 hours of help per week
Elderly Care:
Assisting and spending time with the elderly.
Child Care:
Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Teaching Sports:
Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Description:
volunteers are encouraged to contribute 17$ per day which goes towards accommodation, three meals per day as well as security.

You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Team Dorm:

Dinner:

Program Details
we need volunteers to help Help lead mental health workshops in schools, villages, or women’s groups
• Assist fundraising for community outreach programs, creating safe spaces to talk
• Work with local leaders to develop educational materials (posters, flyers, talks)
• Support children or teens in schools with wellbeing activities or creative expression
• Share your background in psychology, counseling, social work or simply a listening ear
You don’t need to be a professional therapist. Just an open mind, a big heart, and a willingness to learn and connect with people at a human level.
Activities & Shift
During your stay, you’ll live with our Executive Director and his family a truly unique opportunity to experience authentic Malawian life from the inside out. You’ll share meals, traditions, stories, and daily routines, all while contributing to a cause that’s deeply rooted in community care and resilience.
Most volunteers say this homestay becomes the most meaningful part of their journey. You won’t just be helping from the outside you’ll be welcomed as part of the family.
