Are you a handyman who also loves gardening? Come & join us!
The experience
We are a registered charity, housed in a beautiful English medieval manor with an ancient courtyard and a magnificent timbered Great Hall, dating from the 13th century. It is situated in extensive grounds where deer roam freely and where squirrels run up and down trees.
Over the past 40 years the charity has run a range of group activities including retreats and other spiritual events, lectures, concerts, yoga classes, creative workshops, etc.

Activities & Shift
We are currently looking for a competent and experienced volunteer who could carry out some general basic maintenance tasks and help to keep our internal and external areas looking neat and tidy, and safe for staff and visitors. You will also give a hand in the garden to our small garden volunteer team including strimming, mowing, and weed control. No need to be a professional MacGyver if you have the right skills and if you are able to follow health & safety processes. As a volunteer, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests, volunteers and visitors.
Rules
We expect volunteers to help 25 hours per week. But please note that we are expecting from our volunteers to help with whatever is needed rather than what they want to do.
The minimum residential volunteering period is 1 month and the maximum is 3 months (only for UK nationals or people with settled status).
Volunteers from outside the UK must have a valid visa, out of which they can volunteer for up to 30 days for a registered charity. They must have a good understanding of spoken English.
