Program Details

Your tasks will probably depend a little bit on your skill level coming in and your physical abilities. You will definitely need to be in somewhat decent shape to be able to work out in the farm. Be prepared to climb, use a saw, and carry things. Examples of tasks might be preparing garden bed, pruning trees, harvesting fruit, making compost, etc.

If we have a few days where we get very full or someone needs a day off, you may be asked to do some basic help in the restaurant, running plates and cleaning glasses, but this would only be as a backup and would count against your weekly hours.

Activities & Shift

Your shifts will be a bit flexible and depend on the schedule of the hotel, but in general expect to work about 5 hours per day, 5 days a week. On very hot days, its better to work earlier and take a long break during the day. Since, it does not rely on guest schedules, the shifts are very flexible.

Rules

You will be expected to be presentable and social while up in the reception/restaurant and around guests. Since this is a quiet nature retreat, we have to be sure to maintain a peaceful environment for the guests.
