This was my first volunteer role in a hostel and I'd highly recommend it to anyone interested. There's always a good group of people staying here. The daily tasks are easy and can be completed quickly which gives you time to socialize and explore the area. Bajo (the co-owner) is very kind and will go out of his way to make sure you're taken care of. At first the place can be a little intimidating but once you're situated the place has a real charm.

I really enjoyed my time volunteering here. The work hours are reasonable and the included meals was super helpful for budget travelling. the hostel is a beautiful place for beaches, sunsets, and the nightlife is fun. The atmosphere at the hostel was amazing for meeting new people and connecting with guests. The group I worked with became like a family, and the owners always made sure we had everything we needed. I had to leave a little earlier than expected and bajo was super understanding about everything. I would absolutely recommend volunteering at lazy roo for fun, vacation and family!

Prepare yourself to make a lot of friends. The rooftop at the hostel is an invitation to long conversations as sun goes down and some incredible memories. The 5 hours of work are busy because it's peak season so there's a lot of checkouts every day. But the host is very flexible about doing things in our own pace and he's willing to help in whatever we need. I'll miss Sarandë sunset and the amazing memories this first volunteering experience gave me. Besides, 2 days off per week is amazing!!!

I really enjoyed the work; we're respected as volunteers. The work is relaxed, and the hostel is really cool. I made a lot of friends and practiced new languages. Everyone who lives there is very friendly and easy to make friends with. I highly recommend it :)

I had the best time here! The work is easy and light, and you get everything that was agreed upon. The hostel itself is quiet, so you can rest comfortably, but it's also near the nightlife and beaches
