The experience

Hello,
We are Tom, Jorien and Gerie and we have been living in Orne - Normandy with our large Bernese Mountain Dog, two horses and cat since May 2024.
We have bought an old manor house from 1855 that we are going to completely renovate To live in and to start a b&b
We are looking for a hand-on person who likes working independently and outdoors.
After the last storm three apple trees have fallen and need to be sawn en slit.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

What you get

3 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Intermediate English

Between 18 and 60 years old

Program Details

What you can expect:
Your own room and there is a clean shared bathroom downstairs that you can use. there is no kitchen in de big house but we cook in the small house were we, tom and Jorien live.

Example of the help we are looking for:
* wood processing - sawing - felling - splitting - pruning

In the morning we all have breakfast separately and we eat lunch and dinner together.
We live in a small remote village. In your free time you can explore the area around the house which mainly consists of forest paths. Relax around the house, walk the dog, hug the horses. We like a cozy and respectful atmosphere in the house. We expect everyone to help keep the house clean and tidy.

Activities & Shift

We would like to plan the week together in good consultation. Sometimes we think of a job the same day and carry it out. We want to have a nice time together

My father in law also lives in the main house so respect and keeping noise down would be respectfull
