I spent very good time in hostelicius,I help with the housekeeping and in the restaurant,the hostel is located very central so is excellent to explore Faro city.The schedule is fair,the food is beautiful I meet a lot of new travellers and volunteers,it was nice experience,thank you Hostelicius Team

Lovely staff, amazing food, a clean hostel and many travelers to meet. Volunteering at the hostel was all in all an amazing experience, but I recommend not staying for too long because there isn't much to do in Faro after a few days.

It was a great pleasure to volunteer at the hostel, the staff was very attentive and friendly. The structure of the Hostel is incredible. The working hours are respected. To get to the nearest beach you need to take a 30-minute ferry, the city is small but offers everything: shopping mall, cinema, markets, airport, bus station and nearby train. I thank you with all my heart to have the opportunity to be there and meet such special people. ❤️

I had a great time staying at the hostel. The staff is lovely and make you feel home. The work was as it was agreed. The only point that could be improve would be the communication and the planning of the shift. But I definitly recommend that experience !

I had a great time in Faro. my arrival was very chaotic and no one knew I was arriving even though I texted with the hostel on WhatsApp. I arrived at the hostel but was sent to Casa d'alagoa because there's the room for the volunteers. Very small, no windows, no bed curtains, you can't lock the door, noisy air conditioning. There is a fixed work schedule, you work in both hostels, instructions for housekeeping not always clear because the cleaning staff only speak Portuguese. I Had to make pancakes twice a week, which was great. If there were any problems,a solution could always be found

Faro is an authentic portuguese town. It gets a bit repetitive but you can easily go to other cities on your days off. Despite applying for the hostel, I had to move to their sister hostel Casa D Alagoa. The room was too small for 4 volunteers without a window (but AC). The facilities were great and clean. Because of the language barrier the housekeeping was hard at times. I liked the dinner shifts the most, as I could socialize with the guests and was responsible for good vibes. There were some organization issues that could be improved. Will never forget this special experience, obrigada!

Volunteering at the hostel was such a good experience, and I'm so grateful to have been able to do it. They are great hosts and made me feel very comfortable and welcome, they were very understanding and supportive of if something wasn't working out. If your looking for a relaxed experience, to have some chill time, and get to know a little Portuguese town this is a good option

The experience at the hostel was good, there are things to improve, but it was a good place to improve the language, both English and Portuguese, and to have the opportunity to meet many people, cooks, colleagues, they were very friendly and welcomed me with great affection.

It really is an experience that EVERYONE needs to have in life, volunteering opens the mind and heart to the world and new situations and not only that but it also opens up social and professional opportunities. Here at the hostel you experience everything up close, you have responsibility, commitment and organization. But you also make true and sincere friendships, get into the local culture and have contact with natives from other countries so you are kind of forced to learn English and Spanish which helps a lot in your learning. Thank you so much hostlicious for the opportunity ;)
