Program Details

🌟 Program: Social Media & Event Manager
🎯 Role Goal
Help us bring our hostel to life — online and offline! You'll manage our social media and organize fun events that connect travelers, create memories, and grow our community.

📆 Weekly Responsibilities
1. Social Media Magic (10–15 hrs/week)
Plan and manage a content calendar (mainly Instagram & Facebook)

Create and post photos, stories, reels, and videos

Write fun, engaging captions

Reply to comments & DMs, and help grow our audience

2. Content Creation (5–8 hrs/week)
Capture daily moments and events (yes, your phone camera counts!)

Design flyers, announcements, or visuals with Canva or similar tools

Come up with creative campaigns — polls, contests, takeovers, etc.

3. Event Planning & Hosting (10–15 hrs/week)
Plan weekly events like pub crawls, game nights, walking tours, etc.

Handle logistics: setup, playlists, materials, invites, etc.

Lead the vibe! Welcome guests, guide activities, and keep the energy up

Work with our team to make events smooth and fun

4. Event Promotion (Flexible)
Spread the word with stories, flyers, in-person invites, and posts

Encourage guests to join and participate

Collaborate with local creators or partners if possible

Activities & Shift

As our Social Media & Event Manager, your weekly schedule will be flexible and fun! You’ll split your time between creating digital content and organizing community activities.

Social Media Tasks: Done mostly during the day — snapping photos, filming short videos, editing content, and posting.

Content Creation: Flexible hours. You’ll capture daily life around the hostel, work on designs, and prep content when it suits your workflow.

Events: Usually in the evenings or late afternoons (depending on the event). You’ll help plan and then host fun activities like game nights, dinners, tours, or themed parties.

Expect to work around 25–30 hours per week, with 2 full days off to relax, explore, or do your thing. We’re all about keeping a balance between creativity, community, and free time!

Be respectful – Toward guests, staff, fellow volunteers, and the space itself.

Stay organized – Plan ahead for events and content. Be reliable with your weekly tasks.

Communicate – Keep in touch with the team. If you need help or can’t complete a task, just let us know.

Represent the hostel vibe – Whether online or during events, reflect the fun, friendly spirit of our space.

Keep it clean – Help maintain a tidy common area, especially after events or content shoots.

Be mindful during events – No getting drunk or losing focus while hosting. You’re the leader of the vibe!

Respect quiet hours – Especially in guest areas, when it's time to wind down.
